From what I've scanned of tomorrow's papers there's a lot of guff concerning a blatant penalty that wasn't given. Bizarrely it's not the one where Ibe was patently fouled, but the one where Sterling brushes a County player. Seriously wtf?
I watched Sky Sports summin up of the game in the taxi back to the moss on me tablet, the ****s(like tomorrows rags)never got the result they wanted. Was close to where Johnno got fouled when the dog of a ref should have played advantage, plus as you say Ibe, Sterling and Sturridge had better or at the least equal claims for pens.
its all glen johnson's fault. i expect some one at county will say they were robbed by a fair shouler to shoulder challenge ala that wagon at mansfield. in the end... johnson strolled back from an attack, he was 10-20 yards up the pitch ball watching infield while a man stood in his poistion waitign for a ball.. no midfielder covered johnsons run forward... but he did nothing to get back... result? extra time... toure injury... etc etc. johnson also ball watched then ran into a county player before the knock back header for thier first. lessons? do you job for 90mins glen you always do the same don't you... if its not a top team you switch off.
The Sterling 'shoulder check' in our box - I've seen them given as they say, but even the neutrals who were watching it with me were saying no pen to that. In the end it was 50/50 at most and the County player went down very easily. They played really well though and if they'd won I would've said they deserved it. Have to say I'm getting bored now of seeing us struggle against plucky league sides, Oldham last season, County last night, at least we just about salvaged it this time. That's some kid of twisted progress right?
nobody wants to know that the smallest lightest player in the premier league "barged" a player off the ball. its hilarious. the guy flopped on a shoulder to shoulder challenge. we had similar v villa where the ref clearly called it shoulder to shoulder and we were denied a blatent on up the other end to componsate the home side. LFC were getting nothing off the ref simply to even it up... anyway..... you'd swear we had 9 fit players for sunday given the reaction to 3 injuries, two of which are subs bench players and short term..... at least toures groin went in this game not after 10 mins v utd. the strain had to be there looking at the incident... i think we should tkae it as luck, blame johnson for both their goals and of course any tiredness on rodgers and pick up the pieces. The club must go buy two players anyway. I think we ought to save our pennies for january on moses as if cheslea keep adding guys someone is going to fall out extremely cheap there and we could get him for <10mil for sure.
