Do you think a ref should come out and explian his dissisions in the media after a game i do, they are paid a lot of money and never have to explane themselfs for a bad game or take the pats on the back for a good game.
no bad idea... refs are anonymous. If ever they get identified, some "fans" would go too far. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...-the-top-10-worst-referee-mistakes-in-history it is only a game. who cares?
we care thats what matters ...managers and players are not anonymous so why should a ref be he has the power to change a result and more often than not he does it ****ing stinks .......
It would be pointless, for the Long penalty all he would have to say is he couldn't see contact from where he was stood, suddenly his bad call is justified, would people accept that or just criticise him further saying his position should have been better...etc. Essentially the referees would have time before the interviews in which they could look at replays and formulate a reason or excuse for their decision, would that make it easier for fans to take after losing a game? I doubt it.
Don't know what all the whinging about the ref is all about. He only really got one thing wrong and that was the Davies handball. Whilst if it was Liverpool, United etc claiming a penalty for the long incident they'd have got it in a flash, it wasn't a penalty. And neither was Jelavics.
