Sounds like sour grapes, but some very strange refereeing yesterday, first off there was that half French cheat that scuppered the egg chasers, then the clown at CCS, ok a draw was about a fair result................but was it the right result, no way. OK Cardiff got a penalty but we had three very good penalty shouts, and the one we were given was probably the least definite, the guy was an idiot. Then the ref in the Bernard Hopkins-Ched Dawson fight a very bizarre decision.............Dawson picked up Hopkins and threw him through the ropes, Hopkins landed badly and dislocated his shoulder.................the ref awarded the fight to Dawson by TKO, and didn't offer Hopkins the chance to carry on, Hopkins had his shoulder put back in and wanted to carry on, one handed if need be, and the ref should have given hinm the chance to carry on. Referees gotta love 'em Bastards
Agreed about our ref yesterday Proph. A total plum who didn't have a clue. Never mind the penalty shouts, what stuck out for me was the way that Bowyer was backing into Rudy for most keeper clearances so he didn't have a clear jump, then their centre back came over the top for the ball. He didn't give it once. Had it happened away from football they would have called it assault. The only decent ref at home this season was the one v. Donnie. He had few decisions to make so was hardly noticed - the best sort of ref.
I think the fans had it right. "You don't know what you're doing" "You don't know what you're doing" "You don't know what you're doing" "You don't know what you're doing"
Totally useless ref,but the linos were just as inept. For me the tackle on McNaughton late in the game was more a penalty that the one they gave. The guy was completely biased in awarding free kick decisions and should be dropped down a league where perhaps he can handle the pressure.
Havent seen the Hopkins incident. No sympathy for him after the way he rolled around on the floor against Calzaghe. Yesterdays officials were poor. Our penalty was never one. Then we have a clear one and he bottles it. Fair result in the end though.
trouble is lads, no refs = no games, i have learned over many years as a player to learn what a ref likes/doesnt like, not saying its right but it works against opposing sides
Worst officiating I have seen at a City game in a while. What was even more baffling is that ALL the officials were awful. Normally it's just one lino or referee but they were all poor.
if you go on any newspaper article on this 'injustice' then you'll get several comments telling us to quit moaning and move on. now i dont recall england 'moving on' after lampards 'goal' in the world cup.. in fact it lived on for months on end! let alone 3 days and thid despite being comprehensively outplayed, we lost by one point with 14 men the majority of the game..
