the swans have had a raw deal over the years from quite a few referees . Will the premiership refs be any better, and with our passing game will our players get the protection to play ultimate football without having to revert to most other prem teams diving tactics ?

IMO all teams get a raw deal from refs , we are no different from any others , you put this thread on every club forum on here and you will get answers to the effect that the ref's are crap, its not helped by the fact that technology is not allowed to be used like in rugby, cricket, tennis and so on

Many Premier league teams say that the top teams have preferential treatment from the refs so guess we'll be going on about the same thing at times during the season !! That's unless we get Phil Dowd every game hehe..

I think referees do the best the can under the circumstances. It can't be true that all clubs get a raw deal though. Because a bad decision for one club is a good decision for the team they are playing. Good and bad decisions will balance out over the season, but fans tend to dwell on the bad decisions against their teams and forget the decisions where they opposition should have had a penalty but didn't get it.

jager i agree technology should be used to help refs get more decisions right, as just one bad call can have a huge impact on a club at the end of the season be it qualifying for cups or relegation & promotion by maybe just 1 point !
goal line cameras and maybe time outs to see replays before deciding as in rugby ? in one of the worlds biggest money games how much longer can they avoid this advancement ?
As for the refs word is final right or wrong ! fine but max of 2 wrong calls and switch the tech on .

All the reffs, throughout all the divisions, are fine and do the best job they can.
    Apart from Stuart Atwell.
    He's crap.
