Having cooled off a fair bit since Saturday, I must say I think I am more disapointed in the referee than anything. It is right for linesmen to flag for what they see as infringements and if it is an incident that the ref hasn't seen then these extra eyes can be invaluable. But on Saturday the Lino flagged (as he should have if he thought an offence had bee commited) for an incident that the ref was well aware of. For the ref to then change his mind based on that shows a real lack of self belief on the referees part. I think a full explanation should be publicised as to what exactly it was that a Lino could see from 60yds that the ref could not from 10. If the ref missed something from that range that was so obvious that it could be spotted from so far away then you have to question his ability to ref future games at any level.
