In recent fights a number of referees and judges have been called into question in regards to decisions made during a fight some of the more recent and controversial fights include:

    Hatton vs Mayweather

    Mayweather vs Ortiz

    Hopkins vs Dawson

    Marquez vs Pacquaio

so the question is what was the most controversial referee or judges decision that you have witnessed in recent times.

for me one of the worst refereeing decisions was Danny Williams vs Konstantin Airich

The ref was clearly trying to fix the fight, the fact that he gave Williams so many standing counts despite him being alright and call a break in the round with 1:30 minutes to go specifically when Williams hurt Airich

It's very clear, and has been for a great number of years, that there are massive problems with corruption inside boxing.

It ranges from the sort of bias we saw with the latest Khan fight to sickeningly bad 'decisions' at amateur level.

It's nothing new, it's never going to stop and it's why boxing is shrinking.

100% agree with you. I personally think corruption is rife in Europe and think its time the authorities dealt with it.

Its not just Europe though, granted Europe is the biggest culprit but corruption seems to be a major issue in America now as well. I also think parts of Asia have the same problems, look at Roy Jones in the Olympic finals, apparently his opponent was so embarrassed about the decision that he apologised to Roy after the fight.

Unless the corruption is investigated I think it will continue to get worse in the sport of boxing, if it does continue you can see the UFC becoming a bigger attraction to many fighters, hopefully this doesn’t happen as I think boxing is far more entertaining
