I was just on the NHL website and found this channel, dedicated to explaining why a player has been suspended and showing step by step how the incident as been deemed a foul and why the suspension had been given. Got me wondering why couldn't we do this in football. All it would take is a short video showing replays of the incident which could be shown on sky sports or the EPL website with a refereeing representative describing why a decision has been made. This would clear up all the rubbish about two footed/excessive force tackles and I think would put a lot of confused managers, players and fans at ease.

Just a thought and not something that's likely to happen but I think it could improve the game as a whole

I reckon they should publish the ref reports, and refs should have a chance to rematch games and flag up any incidents they missed or misjudged.

So many ways that modern technology could clean up the game, but the powers that be don't seem to want it.

It only take two seconds for the ref to blow a whistle, look at a replay for 5 seconds then decide his action. E.g. the first penalty for Fulham, it was outside the area, it was a foul however and all the ref had to do was blow the whistle indicating it was a foul, then get the the 4th official to check if it was inside or outside.

Regarding Mario Balotelli, had he not been on the pitch he would not have won the game for City, now that means Tottenham have lost out on valuable points towards the title race. Still glad Spurs lost though cause i hate melt face.

Would love to see this sort of analysis by actual officials, instead of pundits and former refs speculating as to why certain decisions happen. It would help to clear up a lot of the rules regarding tackles e.t.c and would help us understand the mindset of the officials.
