IMO - for the most part, referees do a pretty good job. However after some of the 'odd' decisions in our games over the last few weeks (I would say we're pretty even on decisions going for and against us TBH), I've just seen this comment on the BBC website - "Wales manager Chris Coleman at Upton Park on BBC Radio 5 live, speaking about Carlton Cole's goal: "That was a free-kick for me but he has given a goal, and the disallowed goal in the first half was the other way round.

"All we ask from the referees is that they are consistent, and Martin Atkinson has not been today."

    Says it all really. <ok>

I'm not sure about Referees evening out mistakes. It obviously does happen but that is tantamount to saying two wrongs make a right. I've seen the decisions on SSN and no way should Cole's goal have been allowed. He nearly pushed the defender into the ground like a tent peg.
