I think the ref was right.

Kinell that's brilliant. I don't even understand what makes them so angry about the penalty award in the first place? Or is it the foul at the beginning of the clip at the other end?

They should just have all walked off after the ref decked the player.

 

Wonder what the observer made of that! Back when I reffed, if four players from one team got sent off the match was abandoned. Not that I ever sent four players off!

 

After all of that - I'd have loved it if he'd consulted with his linesman and changed his mind.

 

The story said although the game finished 0-2, the away team was awarded a 1-4 victory, presumably the same thing. You'd be gutted if the end of the season came you lost out on goal difference. At least it happened in the 93rd minute so it wouldn't affect the result too much. Not like the Battle of Bramhall Lane that WBA deserved to win by a hatful after Warnock's antics.

 

The first red card was correctly awarded.

I mean if the ref thought the player deserved to be punched he clearly deserved a red card as well.

 

The restart was great.

 

To be fair the player was pushing the ref, he would of got sent off over here, and every single player who surrounded him and started pushing him.
