Hull City (ENG) - AS Trenčín (SVK)
    Referee: Bas Nijhuis (NED)
Assistant Referees: Rob Van de Ven (NED), Charles John Schaap (NED)
    Fourth Official: Jeroen Sanders (NED)
UEFA Referee Observer: Donald McVicar (SCO)
UEFA Delegate: Sergio Di Cesare (ITA)

Bas Nijhuis is a full time butcher in Italy and is no stranger to controversy.

On 21 December 2011 Bas Nijhuis gained worldwide attention and public criticism for sending off AZ Alkmaar goalkeeper Esteban Alvarado in a KNVB Cup second round match against Ajax after an Ajax supporter ran onto the pitch of the Amsterdam Arena and attacked him, prompting Alvarado to retaliate in self-defence by kicking the attacker several times. Alvarado's sending off caused his manager, Gertjan Verbeek, to order the team to walk off and abandon the match in protest.

Looking at the named seedings so far for the PO round of the EL we should be a seeded team(if we get through) due to our federations status.

Only 14 confirmed seeds so far.

The PO round has 62 teams in 31 games.
