The FA referee Association has decided to back down on their controversial decision to put a Manchester local as the referee for the upcoming "North West" derby. "There was too much of an uproar, " Fay Erisfayer, referee association spokeswoman, told the KP Times, "we had to listen to the fans and appoint someone not born locally. " Instead the association decided to appoint someone foreign-born, who would not have any bias. "We decided the referee couldn't be English, but, should be from a different home nation, with experience in the English game. The only candidate we could all agree on was Sir Alex Ferguson. " Replacing referee Taylor with Ferguson is not without controversy itself. Whereas it is true that Sir Alex was not born in Manchester and has no bias in this game, many worry he is too old and fat to keep up with the players. Match attendees are asked not to wear grey to prevent accidental collisions with the referee, who has a grey colour blindness condition. Angry fans are also asked not to throw bottles at the referee, unless they are filled with quality Whiskey.
If Sir Ferguson is the referee, he may have to tell one official that he is going to be lucky to get out alive.
As #bbcsalford would put it, "Sir Alex Ferguson has no United ties and supports Scottish Premiership side Rangers."
