Steve Bruce has been fined £2,500 for his critical comments about the dismissal of Michael Turner during Sunderland's 4-3 defeat at Manchester City in December. Bruce described the referee Andre Marriner's decision to send-off the defender as "obscene", "a joke" and "an outrage".
Previous City games: 2003/04 Hull 1-0 Rochdale 2007/08 Ipswich 1-0 Hull 2008/09 Newcastle 1-2 Hull Hull 0-3 Chelsea Man City 5-1 Hull Sheff Utd 1-1 Hull (FA Cup) Wigan 1-0 Hull 2009/10 Fulham 2-0 Hull Wigan 4-1 Hull (FA Cup) Hull 1-2 Arsenal Hull 0-0 Liverpool
I thought that of Michael Oliver until yesterday. Andre Marriner is not far away from awful decisons either. Guess we shall have to live with these duffers in the PL.
With news today that last weeks ref. Neil Swarbrick @ Everton. The dubious goals panel has awarded Evertons first goal to Gareth Barry. I bet Steve Bruce's blood pressure has hit record levels with this news today after yesterday.
We'll he has never been good to Sunderland so we will be playing 12 men next week, just as we'll our cup tie has been put back a week, so we can be fully fit and you will have a hard game mid week
Or check the iPad auto correct before you hit send! For some reason if you don't check well it comes out as we'll! No excuses at all we are on a high after yesterday and the team you will face on Saturday will not be the one you were expecting only a week ago. We will be expecting to win this one no excuses, just confidence returning to a group of players who have under-performed so far this season. Should be a good game with a very vocal support. I could not get a ticket as the allocation was five times over subscribed
Fair enough. Autocorrect is a horrible invention and i'd love to go all Jules on the person who came up with it.
12500 applications for tickets from season card holders! Apart from the great unwashed you are our closest game this year.
Do you not feel this is your problem? Expecting too much of that squad of players? It's instant unwanted pressure. You forget we are unbeaten at home this season and our defeats are away to Man City, Chelsea, Spurs and Everton (the latter two being controversial). We aren't push overs and this league need to start realising that.
Spot on with this, one win (probably only deserved a draw) and they think they're going to walk all over a team with the joint best home defense in the league. Setting themselves up for a fall yet again.
