Lol! The Sun are reporting that we are interested in Reece Oxford of West Ham Utd!

If he was to be considered then surely he would be 4th choice? We need an experience 1st team centre back, then we have Mbemba and Lascelles and remotely we have Dummy.

He played a few games at the start of last year for West Ham and people were raving about him. Seem to recall he played for them away to Arsenal when they comfortably won. Why on earth would West Ham sell him or would he want to come to Newcastle? He's still very young and he's shown ability if West Ham want rid then I'd be concerned of a bad attitude, medical issues or drink/drugs.

Or is it just a loan?

I've always known him to be a centre back but you never know!

Ever since he signed for West Ham he has been linked with a move away

Why would he sign for Newcastle? The Sun are getting worse...if that's possible

He played DM for West Ham last season, and he was really good. I think he has played CB most of his career at youth level, but Bilic recognised he had talent with ball at feet.

Would be a good loan for me, but I doubt we'd get him permanently. It will take time, and it should, so he doesn't have a career like ****ing Jenas.

As has been eluded to already, it is surely paper bollocks? Either that or he's actually ****e or has issues, as why would he leave West Ham and why would they sell him?

Yes there is always a reason for a club to let a player leave, Spurs got rid of Townsend but would not part with Yedlin WHY ????

They might loan him out and consider us a decent option for next year. We have a decent coach now after all.

Plenty of decent players are let go because they don't see eye to eye with the manage or perhaps they don't fit into the managers long term plans. Just because a club wants to move on a player it doesn't mean they are ****e or troublesome.

I'll be stunned if you get this lad. He's definitely a midfielder from what I've seen of him. Didn't he get MOTM against Arsenal? I know he got off to a cracking start to the season but then he got injured and never regained his place. I honestly thought a top 6 team would go in for him.

This kid has some serious potential. As some know I get to West Ham quite a lot being down south while one of my mates Dad's doesn't use his season ticket and this kid is one to keep an eye on.

Loan deal with an option to buy would be perfect. Needs some consistent game time but as Cover in front of Colo for Lacselles and Mbemba he would be perfect.

This i known a few West Ham fans that rave about his potential. Longer term they see him at CB, once he has built up more strength, but he has mainly played his senior games at DM so far. Can play both positions very well.

Would make sense for West Ham to loan him to the Championship to gain experience? so why not take him. I'd be happy with that.
