Not much point having a Captain who is always injured, so Poch needs to think again. Is Reece just unlucky ? Are Chelsea Medicos no good? Whatever, he is always injured when needed, rarely lasts more than 4 weeks and has been like that for too long. Hamstrings are a direct result of the alignment of the hips. As someone with long term chronic hamstring/calf problems in the past, here's what fixed mine. So simple. Stand on a step with toes on the step and heels overhanging. Drop heels as far as they will go, take all the weight on overhanging part of the foot. Count to 30. Raise the part of the foot on step until standing on toes. Don't overreach. Hold for 10 secs, then drop heels again and repeat 5 times, Do this 4 times per day, and in less than a week, Hamstrings are fixed, calves are fixed. They all interconnect and need to be worked as "one". Hamstrings "go" only because they can't take the strain when Calves and buttocks aren't working hard enough. Call it a team effort. Not rocket science.
While on the subject of injury prone players, why are so many Chelsea players being injured at " Training " ?? I think our medical staff have been sub standard since that amazing lady was the centre of such a commotion . The current mob seem to me to be sub standard. So many repeat injuries, so many "training injuries" Our players are not looked after properly in my opinion, another complaint against the Septics.
Seems to me you are looking for an argument that is not there CP. First of all, calling RJ a sicknote is rather antagonistic and worthy of a non supporter of the club, which I believe, you are not. Reece is our captain and will be for some time, many players go through periods when injury seems to blight them, some fall away and do not return to their previous level, Yet every time RJ comes back he seems to perform better than before. If you looked at any other club in the land you would find instances when for a while, a certain player or a few of their players got injured, and people would question the training methods and such, yet no evidence of said methods would be the cause of the problem. In this age of billion dollar business, if there were failings or weaknesses in the training routine, it would have been flagged and eradicated by now. Hoping for a win against Whammers tomorrow. Carefree.
Oh and by the way, you have posted this thread twice. Be sweet and delete the other one there's a good chap.
I’m just suprised that Reece seems more susceptible to hamstrings, than an elite athlete with access to full time medical staff should be. He also really has had a significant amount of time out injured. Bad luck is always an issue, and hes had his share , but a repeat injury is a worry. I hope it is just bad luck, but I hope the medics can get it sorted and he gets a decent run of games going.
It is frustrating he gets injured so much but I think we finally have got some good cover this time round. Gusto looked excellent pre season so will be interesting to see how he gets on.
