What can NA and his staff do to get Redmond to turn in these sort of performances in Yellow and Green??? http://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwic...s_for_england_u21s_against_portugal_1_3847457
He played on the left side of a 4-3-3 and had an excellent game , there were no crosses aimlessly pinged in by and large most of his best work was through slide rule passes and cut backs to Ings. Redmond has been excellent in ALL of the U21 games and I have seen every match so far. Obviously the Championship is way more physical but even so he was up against some fantastic talent last night. He had a great chance to get on the scoresheet when he cut in on the left with the keeper to beat but fluffed it but his all round game was superb, apart from the keeper they all played brilliantly and we may have a bright future.
I hope we abandon the diamond for good and play with some width. Redmond can beat players for fun. Murphy left, Redmond right and Tettey, O'Neil and Howson in the middle. Any left back in the league would rather be up against Gary O'Neil playing in a diamond than Redmond.
I hear from different sources - although, of course, it might originate from the same one - that Southampton will come calling in Jan with the chequebook open and can have him if they match our valuation which seems to be £8m or £10m.
Saints would have him 6 months then flog him for £23m I watched Sterling the other day and I can see both playing for England for many years either wing. If we don't go up let him go in the summer but I would hate to lose Redmond he is brilliant.
I was watching the intro to England Slovenia and there is a London bus that comes towards the screen with Wembley 23 on the front. The 23 bus goes to Liverpool st so the animators put this in for some reason. Fascinating stuff.
