Reading through the lines if we don't go up he wants Premier league football next season . Let's hope he improves on his 1 goal for the club?
At least Dave isn't creaming his knickers about how much money we would get tor him, if Mongs is worth £10m Redmond must be worth double that.
Has he attracted much interest??? As for worth I personally don't think any footballer is 'actually' worth very much at all....but that's another matter.
1 or 2 Prem teams wanted him, if you have BT sports England u21 are against Portugal tonight and he looks class at that level.
I agree Cromer but when I switched on again this morning 4 out of 8 threads raised/commented on since I logged off last night were about the binners. Isn't that just sending them an invitation card to come on? Back to the OP you have to accept that comments like that are often meaningless - but nice to see - but I am pleased to see it for, I might be in a minority, but I think he is class.
The thread was about Redmond choosing to stay and try to gain promotion with us rather than move to another team , pretty much every post on this thread up until this was 100% on topic . Not really sure what the complaint is posts 7 8 & 9 have nothing to do with the OP .
To be fair, 1950 did take it back on topic at post 9 by making a comment. FWIW, my tuppence is that I don't see how this can be anything other than a bad thing. Redmond is undoubtedly talented and for all the valid complaints about some areas of his game, he clearly has buckets of potential. His domination at U21 level show that when he is with his peers, he is amongst the very best. Of course, he might not make it, but I really like his attitude - he appreciates that he's only 20 and has a lot to learn, and he appreciates that it would be better to graft it in the Championship than sit on the bench in the PL for a team that have bought you as a "young hot prospect" but never give you the chance to develop.
If you are pointing the finger at me i will start a few threads about boxing umpires getting punched or horses sitting on bloody sofas to try and fit in ...
If we go up he will hopefully evolve into a regular full England international and i rate him very highly for his age , the story however hints at his desire to play Premier league football so if we don't go up he will be sold. If we do go up and he becomes the player i hope he can be then he will be sold to a better team anyway, let's just enjoy having him here and try not to get on his back too much. He is crying out for a goal to calm his nerves.
Can somebody please point me to a press report that a player has made where he has stated that he will be off as soon as a bigger club comes along with a bid. At the end of the day, it will be down to the club, if a bid is made that suits their valuation then he will go. All the normal PR guff.
All im saying is this smacks of PR guff set up by the club to detract heat away from the manager and performances. been done a million times from various clubs.
I know Rob i can think of countless cases where players have refused to play or forced a move for better money and a bigger club but i don't want to send the thread off topic , damn it too late...
Please Sir - Carol Kirkwood put her tongue out at you. Can she join me and Warky on the naughty step?
