    I disagree. Although I'm not his biggest fan, the England job is all about motivation and man-management and there is no-one better in the game currently than old twitchy! That is why Bobby Robson and Venables have come the closest to delivering for England in recent years.u

    Harry is the best man for the job IMO.

    He has already been asked if he can handle the euros. He has agreed in principle as long as they are unmarked and untraceable!

    Redknapp = overrated

    When he won the FA Cup with us, it's hardly like we had a bunch of crap players who he managed to get playing better than the superstars of the big four.

    I honestly think it would be in his best interests to stay with Tottenham. He's got an extremely good football team there, which is capable of winning a championship, let alone the odd other trophy competition. I notice Fergie said he would make an excellent England manager. That was praise indeed, but back-handed. He just wants Redknapp out of the way, because he's a bloody thorn in the side.

    I'll be ecstatic if he gets the job. I haven't seen a manager better suited to it in my lifetime.

    It will take a while for it to dawn on Redknapp that as England manager, he won't be able to sign big africans from his agent mates.

    Joe Jordan & Kevin Bond do all the training ground stuff both at Spurs and when at Pompey too.

    Harry buys the players, picks the team, does the teamtalk. That's pretty much it and sad to say, pretty much all you need to do as England manager anyway. But even a supposed man-manager like Redknapp would still have to deal with the inter-club rivalries when picking an England team. Although England will be better off once we move on from the Gerrard/Lampard/Cole/Terry group of ego players.

    Redknapp or whoever has to be strong enough to pick players which fit the system and not the other way around.

    England were a bunch of individuals at the world cup and it showed. Players need to compliment each other. Capello was showing progress.

    We know what we will get with Redknapp though. A we'll score one more attitude. England always fail, so we might as well fail in style.

    Takes an ego to lead egos
