Reckon Redknapp will get off this as it looks like an oversight at the worst. Rednapp was due 10% from Crouch's sale as director of football, but only 5% as manager. He whinged so much that Mandaric put the difference in an account which was used to invest in America at time of crash and all was lost. Unless the HMRC think this is the tip of an iceberg (which looks unlikely) can't see more than a slap on the wrist, though he should get 5 years for being annoying.

He looked like he was going to go down for it.

But it turns out that today (and today only!) it's seems to have died down and they're being lenient!

i heard the judge was a big tottenham fan!!!!!!

He's just sent the jury home for the day cause the temperature in the room was too high, nothing to do with giving Redknapp time to get up to Liverpool and himself time to get home and put his feet up in front of Sky Sports :)

Redknapp not on way to Liverpool yet as problem with flight...may have to text team sheet..oh, forgot he can't write.

If that's true then they are both guilty. They're claiming it wasn't a bonus from the Crouch transfer, even though he told the news of the world it was.

I think he'll probably get off too though, despite his utterly transparent "I can't even read" schtick.

It was only Redknapp's and Mandaric's highly paid barristers spouting a load of bullshit to try to swing the jury away from the facts of the case and the fact that Redknapp and Mandaric have both given about 3 different accounts of what the money was for.

People have missed the point from the beginning of all this that even if found guilty, they'll just a fine and community service at the very worst anyway.

You could be right and the community service wont be the humiliation of weeding paving slabs down the local rec...it'll be a N. london based "services to football youth" training programme
