I've heard that was one of his comments in the post match interview. I'll post more when they stick it up on QPRplayer! Here the snippet:
No sh*t. The problem is, how does he get shot of them? Mark Hughes has proved himself expert in at least one thing: Squandering other people's money!
Yeah, it is what we already knew, but all the more marked because he's referring more to attitude than ability. Pretty much Swords' take on things.
When quizzed on bosingwa's ill discipline after refusing to sit on the bench last week. "How do you handle a player like that? HR-"How do you handle him? well..i duno, we'll find out in january won't we.." This was a very scathing interview from harry, in which he was very critical of a number of aspects of the club. Apparently all our players are on higher wages than tottenham's. He noted that this clearly shouldn't be the case when we've got an 18k seater stadium. Onouha and Traore were ruled out last minute this morning so he had to throw together a back line that hadn't worked together this week.
However bad things are,I just think he should keep things 'in house' a bit more. What the **** was that team I watched out there today???.How did I know this game was going to go tits up,especially after all the 'Arry effect'...talk!.Happy xmas Ameobi
Cheers Uber. I don't know why COL, Oddball, Imaz etc would continue to pay homage to these charlatans when they're destroying their Club. Its like defending a parasite or a leach that's living on your body yet slowly killing you! I just don't understand it!!!
The snippet of footage above continues, when he's asked about January transfers- " far far far too much money for the amount of ability and what they give the club. Not all of them, but an awful lot of them. I don't really wana see the owners have their pants taken down any more than what they have in the past. You know, there's a lot of agents made an awful lot of money out of them, and there's a lot of average players here earning...well... i fined a player last week and he was earning more than anybody was earning at tottenham, so that tells you everything." Is that a concern for you perhaps moving into january, that you may have got this repuation for being high payers? "well i duno why they should have that reputation... They've got a stadium that holds 18 thousand people. You shouldn't be paying massive wages when you've got 18 thousand people at a football club should you. You know, this club hold 55 thousand, i bet most of their players wouldn't be nowhere near the wages the players are earning- some of the players are earning. So that is a problem. So we've gotta be careful" He needs to be careful, because by "they" he's clearly talking about the owners. Could be a bit dodgy being very openly critical of your employers? He goes on to be very very critical of bosingwa's actions during the Villa game, who will clearly never play for us again. "He didn't like being on the bench. He didn't wana be on the bench...he didn't feel he should be a substitute- so he went home. He's been fined two weeks wages, i think he got fined 130 thousand pound. Which aint too bad for two weeks really is it? Harry then has a little laugh/joke about this with the press guys. "How do you handle a player like that? HR-"How do you handle him? well..i duno, we'll find out in january won't we.."
Me too. I'm very pleased that Harry has expressed what a vocal minority of fans have been saying for a long time. Its just a pity that a lot of supporters have been hoodwinked as well as Mr Fernandes. I have some sympathy for that bloke because he was just trying his best to back his Manager, however mislead he may have been. But for my fellow R's to get sucked into it as well is very disappointing. It puts a certain degree of shame on those fans too.
The players can't be blamed. The blame lies squarely with Hughes, Joorabchian and Tony Fernandes. The Mittals too for not stepping in to stop the madness. We've been had and we bought it hook line and sinker.
Here's another interview in which he's a bit calmer but says much the same: http://www.talksport.co.uk/sports-n...-fought-their-lives-against-newcastle-187904? "Theres some good lads here and there's some other lads who shouldn't be here, but I've got to keep going with the good lads and add one or two more good lads to the good ones."
Fernandes put far too much faith in Hughes and we are paying a dear price. Hughes must surely go down as our worst ever manager.
Thats the spirit! But can Harry buy a new team of triers on considerably less than the mercenaries in January? No-one is going to buy most of the Hughes mob; will they end up training with the the academy whilst dreaming of their Dubai investments?
Fernandes is massively to blame for this situation unfortunately. Agree that I don't care if we go down to the NPC but it's the ground that worries me. Without that we're ****ed, look how many years Brighton suffered.
To be fair he was only doing what every fan wants, give 100% backing to the manager, unfortunately the manager was a complete ****er and useless at his job. Hopefully the mercenaries clear out in January.
We need to win our next two games against WBA and da Pool. Nothing less than 6Pts will do. Relegation is now staring us straight in the face. No need to hit out at Harry. We all know it's not his fault. I have no problem at all with Harry having a pop at some of our players in public. MH seems to have left a cesspit behind him. A team full of overpaid mercenaries who do not have our club at heart. It's worrying times. We need to offload several players in Jan and quickly. Who will want to come to us at this stage I just don't know.
