Found this a good read from Louise Taylor (in the Guardian, haven't come across her before ) http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2012/apr/08/sunderland-redknapp-tottenham
Itâs a good read actually. Pretty much sums up my thoughts of the game tbh. Spurs never really bothered us and if any team was going to win I always felt it was going to be us. Very much like the Liverpool game a couple of weeks ago.
Not a bad read. Unbiased, honest assessment. Never thought spurs were going to score and its a great feeling as a SAFC supporter being relaxed like that knowing that we can mix it with the higher echelons of the premier league.
Louise Taylor is a Sunderland fan! If you want a laugh, read what she writes about us. You can feel the hate
For me this is still a very objective bit of reporting regardless of if shes one of us or not. Tottally sums up my feelings on the game, and hopefully more northeren jornos will get jobs in the south and balance out the **** they right about us up here, both red and white and black and white
I don't care if she is a Sunderland supporter or not, as far as this report goes it is pretty much spot on. The point she makes about the England role has been a concern of mine for some time - it is not inconceivable that HR will take the money to stay at the Spuds and the FA will come calling. I would rather they stayed on the A1 and talked to that fella up the road instead and left the best manager we have had in years alone to do the job he came here to do.
I watched (or rather dozed through) your game, and much like ourselves against Swansea, it wasn't great for the neutral, but exactly what our teams needed in terms of tactics. Texted my Mackem mate afterwards and he was well happy with the result. I said I thought your midfield looked good, worked hard as a defensive unit but when it came to attack, always seemed to push on a little quicker than Spurs could work back in order to pick up the first ball from the Spurs clearance (after the inevitable break from Sessengon)
Totally agree with that post Jesus. I also feel Newcastle just have the edge on us at the moment because they have a natural goal scorer in Cisse. If and it's a big if Sunderland could find someone similar I feel the gap would close even more and with that in mind maybe a very cheeky bid for a somewhat miserable looking Demba Ba could be worth a shot.
I have not read the article. I just wanted to display my disdain of Louise Taylor lol. Hope you are well mate EDIT: I have now read the article. One of her better ones in truth and spot on.
