Redknapp and Mandaric

I'm surprised, unless I missed it, that, after claiming to be hopeless, with money, figures etc; Redknapp's skill at the betting game, which he showed us, in one of the tabloids on a weekly basis with all the ways that bets can be laid and the myriad of odds that ensue, hasn't had, at least a mention by the prosecution.

Here is my rant

I admit to being biased against 'arry but I have a question which some of you might be able to answer.

Why would a man who has lived and worked in the UK for the majoirty of his life and especially in the last two decades have the need to open an offshore account in Monaco?
Do they have exceptional interest rates? My only knowledge as to why you need an offshore account is to hide money or to trade in that country. I see no evidence of Mr. Rednapp investing in the infrastructure of Monaco so can only assume his reasons are the former. I would be interested to hear if anyone can give a more innocent explanation as to why one needs an offshore account.

Finally I have a question to the Pompey fans and I apologise if this has been discussed before. Do you feel slightly uncomfortable as I do about the nature of the bonuses given to Rednapp for what is essentially horse trading?

I would be pissed off as a Southampton fan if I found out that Adkins or Les Reed or anyone would be awarded money for making profits on transfer business. This just proves that the long term interests of the football club were never in Mandrics or 'Arrys mind. Why would he fight to keep hold of an important player knowing that he would be pocketing a fair wedge from the sale himself.
I know Mandric delivered great success for Portsmouth, but with Hindsight you can only see him being in it for the money which is why he sold the club to a man of immoral means.

They said on Sky that such bonuses aren't unknown, but I am also uncomfortable with it. It's a conflict of interest surely to get a cut of a players sell on fee.
