With four games to go in the normal season, should we continue our run of no red cards.......maybe we should qualify for a place in Europe.....some kind of fair play award! Have we ever gone a season with no red cards, must be some kind of record?
Perhaps the lack of reds tells us something about the way we play. Are we tough enough, do we get stuck in and make the opposition watch out for us? Or are we very good tacklers and not at risk of reds? I somehow don't think so.
Sorry to but in, there is such an award. Birmingham almost got into the Europa league that way until they won the League cup, then another team took over. However, i dont know it championship teams are entered in the draw.

It's actually the highest placed,unautomatically qualified team in the highest 3 scoring main leagues in Europe. So despite being top and with a score that is higher than almost all in Europe, it is unlikely we will qualify as the Premier League is currently 9th place in Europe. Don,t really know if this querie fits into the debate, but here it goes! Do you guys think that its time we followed the egg chasers and cited players after the game? Given the theatrics of some players over the last couple of weeks particullary those who fall over at the slightest touch, isn,t it time that the authorities started to look at this form of "cheating", rope the culprits in and start fining them? I,m not for changing the result or asking for replays to decide if a ball went over the line? Was there contact etc etc merely to start to address the situation and stop this "gamemanship" going on? It,s absolutely "cheating" and the officials ( who have to make split second decisions) are powerless to stop it? Surely, players could be cited after the game for their conduct, hopefully this will readdress the issue? How long before a promising young player will have to go to actor lessons to improve their falls/trips, bet there are a few managers who look at players and think with a bit of practice this one could get us four or five penalties a season? I would hate to go out with a few premiership players to our local, they,d be falling over, rolling around on the floor screaming if they joined the queue for bingo tickets, serious business bingo, and them girls dont like cheats.
really? banana: In theory a good idea IMO but in reality it would be almost an admission by the FA and/or FIFA that there are cheats in "their" beautiful game...almost. The option to appeal a card after a game is in place so why not the option to have one enforced? Any player with half a brain would soon learn (ok, half maybe an extreme example but you get my point) Until the fossils that run the game are put in a museum of useless artifacts, nothing will change and if the officials didn't see it, it didn't happen.
I heard Mark Bowen (QPR arss man), say on radio that it was normal if any player felt any kind of contact at any time in the area.....it was expected that they go down for the team......what the fug?

Nice one H, Thinking about it your right the "image" of the game is far deeper than the reality. Sponsers would be "crawling out of the bucket" if the cheats were taken to task. No matter, if things dont change then they,ll stay as they are?

true, but as said above, refs do make mistakes but they also get conned. No it doesn't help the team down to 10 but players might think twice about cheating if there was a chance they could be fined/banned after the game. anyway, it's all hypothetical. It'll never happen.
It is pretty sad when fines seem to hurt players more than getting bans.....(rant) money has ruined the game (rant, rant)
