What is this mysterious Red Button I keep hearing so much about? Is it just a UK thing or is there some way for me to access it and what does it do?
The freeview version allows UK users to watch most sessions of free practise, quali and the race in sync with David Croft's radio commentary. I say "most" because freeview users only have one red button channel, and because quali and the race are on BBC1, sometimes the Beeb use the freeview red button slot to cover other sporting events which clash with F1. And cricket. Sky/Virgin Media/BT users have multiple red button channels and therefore get every single session. I believe there are some other gizmos available on the Red Button if you're watching from a subscription service, including a driver tracker, but I've never been tempted to check those out.
For those of you a bit mistified on where - probably wise not to ask your female friend, just be content with your maker hiding things in strange places !!!
