Red bull have emerged as a candidate to be the title sponsor of the new US grand prix to take place in austin next year. Red Bull broke into the US market in the last couple of years with its Red Bull owned football team in New York and is own Nascar racing team. One of its representatives, Kimi Raikkonen is also trying to break into US motor sport. Even though these projects havnt taken off as huge as thier F1 Team, Dietrich Mateschitz is commited to the cause of cracking the worlds biggest market. I also believe they sponsor the US GP in MotoGP at the mazda raceway
Honda Owned Suzuka and Toyota owned Fuji so thats a similar point. Monza is like racing in Ferrari's back yard?
That is a good point but I think that owning the track and being title sponsor of the GP have different emphasises and significances.
The "Marussia Virgin Russian Grand Prix" Ignore my previous nonsensical one about FI. This one could be real.
If the San Marino GP (in Imola) was still about It should of been sponsored by Team Lotus as its not the real team Lotus and its not in San Marino
Valencia could be sponsored by Hispania because they are both pointless, useless and boring which nobody wants to see anymore, plus they are both Spanish . Although HRT may have problems with the sponsorship, maybe they could supply big billboards with 'your name here', 'this is a nifty spot' or a Mark Webber target board.
