    1. Good team win against Hull
    2. Every player did their bit.
    3. Ampadu got a start and did exceptionally well. He's more than ready for regular rotation and looks as good a prospect as Christensen.
    4. Other youngsters got a run, good work by Conte.
    5. Fabregas was excellent, and Cahill played very well.
    6. Willian , what a gem, Pedro still offers plenty.
    6. Willy showed Courtois what a good keeper is.
    7. Giroud is fitting in well, Morata looked fresh.
    8. Drinkwater had some excellent moments and looked a proper player for the first time in a Chelsea shirt.
    9. Rudiger swapped sides and was again excellent.
    10. Big lift in attitude, atmosphere and effort.
    11. Hazard, Kante and Alonso got to watch with feet up and the fire on.

Rudi or Cahill without Alonso will be Solid.

I know it is just a champ side, but still Alonso is clueless with Defending and rarely picks a decent cross. Emerson did solid with his cross.
    Giroux finish was exceptional.

Just concerned that Kid Alonso is going to be back after injury.

Just blasphemous reading God, Eden & Kid Alonso in same line ..

    Are you Kid ding????
Alonso is currently rated as the 8th best defender in his position in the PL, against all players from all teams.
That puts him, according to the vast majority of fans, ahead of Kyle Walker, Christensen, Stones, Smalling, Rudiger and Virgil van DIjk, and behind only 7 others, all of whom are pure defenders, including Zouma and Azpiliqueta.
Seems you are pissing into the wind on this one vs all the voters from the entire PL.

Wow.. CP. Do you see our matches ever?
Alonso cannot defend against half decent winger.

All the attacks from our opposition ALWAYS go through Alonso!! He is like the canal for Chelsea's goal.

I see every match but only on TV.
Alonso in a wing back, his job is to defend and attack. Like all players he has strengths and weaknesses. His defence is not worlds best but not as bad as you suggest. His attack and goals more than makes up for that. When Cahill is behind him, his job is so much harder than Moses' on the other side who has Dave feeding him.
I'd ease up on Alonso look at the good work he does. He's one of the first selected and for good reason.

I was a left back, a full back, not a wing back. I was under general orders never to cross the half way line, my job was to tackle and win the ball and never ever pass the pass square towards my own penalty area on pain of death, make sure no crosses came in from my side. I was also to cover the centre when the centre backs got board of defending and decided they were midfielders or even strikers. This tended to knacker me.

I wouldn't waste your breath CP.
Once Stan Da "Fan" has targeted a player (or manager) for character assassination, that's it! Until he leaves Chelsea or dies, all of Chelsea's woes will be placed squarely on that targets shoulders.

We are pretty lucky to be supporting Chelsea atm.

One of top 7 or 8 clubs in Europe.

We should make Stan watch games with Alan Mayes up top

Had to look him up, he left Chelsea the year I was born <laugh>

Earliest team I have real vivid memories of watching at the Bridge was Hoddles team which had John Spencer, Gavin Peacock, Paul Furlong, Steve Clarke and Wisey of course.

Yeah same for me. John Spencer & Mark Stein up front was one of my earlier memories, smallest strike force ever.
