Last night I was so glum, listened to Countdown to Kickoff for first time and there was no hope coming from Eddie Gray. The Yorkshire Radio lot were totally in the dark, and in fact still talking about Redfearn as potential boss. Even his interview left the door open to still get the role. Bates really doesn't communicate with his staff does he?

Warnock is probably the best appointment we could have made right now. Proven record, and absolutely burning to show QPR they were wrong to sack him (and they were). He wants to show the world he is a Prem manager, and now he has the chance to show his quality at a massive club, the biggest job he's ever had. This guy is a winner, like him or not, and exactly what we need.

Today will be interesting. How will our underachievers react? They better step up and smash Donny if they want to play for Colin. He will not tolerate the rubbish they have been dishing out recently and no player will be able to hide. Announcing this morning will lift the players and we can hopefully enjoy a win and a lift in the mood at the club. We have to get three points today.

Well, Bates has done the right thing getting Colin in as boss, and I wonder if all the unrest amongst the natives had an influence? The fact that Wolves made it clear they wanted to talk to Warnock makes me think Bates hadn't planned on Warnock when he sacked Grayson. Then again, maybe he did. Let's see what unfolds. For now, I am going to enjoy today and hopefully a big Leeds win to follow on from the sensational Rhinos last night. Come on Leeds!!!

PS. Bates still needs to go
