What's wrong with that exactly?

Thierry Henry has a statue at the Emirates, and Silva has had a similar impact at Man City over the course of a whole decade.

It's a perfectly reasonable argument.

He's the best foreign player to ever play in the PL for me.

Where do you draw the line? Guardiola mentions 4 other greats - should they have statues as well.

For your Silva being the best foreign player etc, I'll raise you Cantona, Zola, Bergkamp, Vieira, Drogba, Klinsmann, Van Der Saar, Van Persie, Manucho .... and so on. The list of players who made significant contributions to their club is endless.

Then, should it just be recently current 'legends'?

You could get to a point where there are more statues outside a ground than inside.

As I don't support Man City, I wouldn't know where to draw the line.

He's better than Cantona, Vieira, Drogba, Klinsmann, Van Der Sar and Van Persie. Bergkamp is the only one I could maybe not argue against, and Manucho is greater than Pele.

Why does it matter when they became legends? Fergie had a statue put up BEFORE he left United. Henry last played for Arsenal after his statue went up.

Out of that list,Patrick Vieira for me! One of the most gifted, stylish and graceful box to box midfielders I've ever clapped eyes on.

You forgot to say which camp you’d have Zola in. Chelsea already regard him as their best ever player, can’t remember if that’s overall or foreign mind you, but he’s a legend at Chelsea and I’d say Premier League as well.

Zola's great, he's one of those who was unfortunate to leave right before Chelsea became big.

I think because he was from that pre-money era as well, a lot of people have grown up idolising Drogba when it comes to Chelsea forwards.

Fair comment, great player, nice bloke as well, met him a couple of times and very down to earth, funny accent as well.
