To my mind it is highly likely that we will be beaten against Stoke next week. What happens then? Lets sack the manager? What about the man who gave him the job? The man who has presided over Mr Bruce's reign? The man who has sanctioned the spending? - Like he did for the previous manager?

OOOOOOHH So sorry. I'm talking about a saint, aren't I?

Bobby, i agree is some aspects of what you have been saying all night, but every post is a bit boring I have to say.

Do i want Quinn to walk/get sacked, off course not.

If he did do I think we would be worse off, probably not tbh.

Is he infallable, NO, which what gets on my goat on this forum sometimes, him and Short can do no wrong, its ALL the managers fault, but Bruce doesnt pay the transfers/wages of these players, Bruce didnt promise us a striker to replace Bent, Bruce didnt say he was the world class manager, Bruce said he was shopping in Harrods and didnt realise he would end up shopping on ebay. (sell to buy)

Quinn for me, and I will probably get slated for this, has the wrong job/title at SAFC, Short should be the chairman (or someone else with business accumen, how many footballers have made a succesful chairman, i cant think of any at all), and Quinn a director of football/ambasador/advisor to Short role, not the Chairman.

Like I have said before, I dont expect Short to put 100`s of millions in, but it would be nice if he put something in (I know he has but its not that much for a premier league club) even stoke have spent -90 million over 5 years, with the same manager and setup, yes Keane blew a lot of mediocre, and payed high wages for those same mediocre players, and we are suffering now for it, there isnt many managers in this league that over 3 years in charge, can have virtually a brand new squad, never mind 1st team, for a net spend of -17million since he came to the club.

MR asked me the other week how much the young Man U team cost that beat West Brom, he said it couldnt have been much, the 1st team was 142 million, with subs it was 225 million, and that was with 5 home grown players for 0. we can only dream of that.
