Steven Henderson- gone. West Ham £650,000 Norris,Mullins,Varney gone this time next week. Looks like 1975 all over again. Relying on the kids to see us through. Nothing against it personally as we've no other choice but I hope we can at least build again in League One if given the chance. Dark days indeed.

Stephen Henderson isn't going to like having to go to WHU - he wants to be No. 1, not No. 3 or even No. 2. He's one of the lower paid players as well, we only offered the same as Bristol City offered him. I'll be sorry to see him go.

Going down to League One with hungry kids will be far more pleasant than the alternative.
With Birch, you stand a chance, lets hope its not too late.

We could spend the next 10 years in League One.

    Has he agreed to go?

A goo d young keeper with bright future. I like the way he commands his area but his distribution is poor. We shall miss him.

I'd be gutted for Henderson if he has gone to be Number 2 at West Ham perhaps. That'll destroy his Euro chances maybe.

Henderson's signing from Bristol City was quite a good bit of business by Cotterril.

To think he was only 3rd. choice at Ashton Gate ! Could be that he will be Robert Green's more than capable deputy in the Premiership next season at West Ham. Real shame when he goes, but needs must, if we are going to somehow survive these traumatic times.

Wondered if anyone had noticed the shift in opinion on Radio Solent regarding Portsmouth's prospects ? Up until lunchtime, the opinion seemed to be that it would be difficult to beat Brighton but the prospect of 5 home games out of the next seven matches against lowly opposition would see PFC's position correcting itself. Must admit that I felt that you could have escaped but wondered whether today's departures would ultimately prove to be more devastating that the result on the pitch this afternoon? I think that you are starting to look doomed and the reliance on youth smacks of the same desperation at during Portliveet's tenure at St. Mary's where we had to make do with youngsters. Not looking good.

Hi Ian, I think it's inevitable now. If we win any games at all, before journey's end, I'll be surprised.

    I feel like Captain Stanhope.

Serious question? Did he ever really have any European chances...?

Play Chamberlain. If he's any good Arsenal will give you 15m.

Then again Theo's brother seems to have come to nothing.

He was the second choice keeper for Ireland in the last lot of friendlies, which means he had ever chance of making the squad even if he didn't make the first team.

My Manager and Team leader are both massive hammers fans , they are alomost certain Rob Green will move on in the summer even if West Hame get promoted , Henderson will probably be #1 choice .

Bad times. I hope you guys can pull through.

No fan should have to suffer their club going under.

    What is the latest news?

Trouble is you have no assets in which to make you attractive.

He may be older than me and you channon (unless you are 63 ?!), he may walk like an old man, he may have dodgy knees, he may have a bad back, but I reckon he could just stand in the middle of the pitch and play passes to all the other players in the team, and create goalscoring chances.

Must be worth a go, surely ?

PS. Are you recovering well after your recent op ?

Yes, thanks for enquiring Woopert. Painfully slow getting about, real difficulty changing position and not able to even extend a limb without a real struggle, I am not sure that Kanu can help you now.;)

I am on the mend though, but only due to the pain medication, which helps get me through.
