For me Charlie Adams would be one. Maybe Berbatov for we could get him for 8-million. I would also like us to try and get Augero but not sure if he would come because he will want big wages which I doubt we will be able to offer. Any others?
We need two strikers, a goalkeeper and a central defender If we are to sign foreigners they should be given a chance which was not the case for the likes of Dos Santos Given Adam's deliberate foul on Bale it is a bad idea to try and sign him
I rate Cahill.. I would take Adam but he obviously would not be a starter in most games. I worry for Luka though!.. He is our only player who would leave at this point!
Depeneding on who stays and goes in the summer... But we could use his talents(if he got his fitness levels up)
I'd like to see Berbatov come home. Get rid of Crouch and Defoe, keep Pavlyuchenko. Adam cannot come surely? he's not even that good, he just shone in a weak blackpool team. He definitely wouldn't be a regular in our starting XI I genuinely think a bid for someone like Llorente would be good. he's a spanish international, but won't command massive fees like Giuseppe Rossi or Sergio Aguero do
Falcao Hulk Gary Cahill Phil Jones Phil Jagielka Brad Friedel Although half of Europe is probably looking at Hulk and Falcao, whilst half the Premier League are looking at Cahill and Jones...
Ben Foster Leonardo Damiao Wouldn't get a new centre-back as I think Bassong could still do a decent job
Falcao, Klose on a free, Shay Given and Gary Cahill. Then sell the fringe players we all want to see sold.
Agree with all of those. We might be held to ransom over Given and Cahill though. Given, because City need to a) get their debt down due to new UEFA rules, and b) they don't want to improve rivals. And Cahill, as other big teams have also been sniffing around, so Bolton will let him go, but cash in on him, much in the same way as Newcastle did for Carroll
Realistic target as I just read this morning, we should be looking to get hold of Higuain. The guy has spent the last couple of season training at Real, I think that VDV could lure him to us. Others would be: Falcao Given (preferred over Friedel as he is too old)
Yeah, I'm not the biggest fan of Given, but I wouldn't mind him. Better than Foster or Friedel. And Falcao would be great, just someone who can score consistently! I think our midfield is exceptionally strong, but that defence needs a bit of a tweak. I'd love a new first team central defender, I haven't heard much of Cahill in the past season but I remember thinking he was quality a few seasons ago. Knowing Harry it'll probably be Foster, Zamora and Danny Murphy..
Gonzalo Higuain would be an amazing signing, he is 1st choice ST at Real Madrid though so don't see why they would sell him for £15million (some red tops sare saying that figure)
I think the most likely realistic target - striker wise, is Leandro Damiao. He's the guy who is Sandro's mate. Internacional have conceded today that they won't be able to keep him.Personally, I've never seen him play, but he's very highly rated. So highly, that there is a reported interest from Barca, as well as Arsenal and Man Utd. We are reckoned to be in the driving seat because of our tie-up with Internacional.
Higuain has played a total of 24 games this season for Real Madrid scoring 14 goals in all competitions. It's a good return but Real Madrid are offering him for only £15 million. I feel that we should seriously pick this up and run with it. Unlike what we did with Luis Suarez and looked what happened (even though King had him in his pocket the whole game). We could have really done with a player like Suarez leading the front line and chasing those balls. Lets not make the same mistake and go in with an early bid for him. Even offer up Crouch!!!!!!
Shouldn't you worry about his wages? As Luke suggested, Adam and Rodellega will be good. But you don't need one more Dawson in Cahill imho.
What about Marin seem to remember the boy was very good when he played us Klose could be good ( fantistic to see another German up front again)
