    Matt Jarvis
    Jota (Brentford)
    Townsend or Lennon
Kermogant (not great but nor is BZ),Rodallega or Bent ahead of Zamora.
Henrique (Liverpool) as left back. One of the Ollson twins, possibly.
    Robert Huth.
Dembele or Mason or any other THFC's midfield cast-offs

Don't get me wrong, none of these are world-beaters but are better than we have/will be good cover.

    Get rid Phillips/Mutch/SWP/Hoilett/Kranjcar/Taarabt

None of the Spurs players are affordable and Mason just signed a new contract, plus he starts pretty much every game. Excellent player but unfortunately out of reach I'm afraid.
Huth, Enrique and Jarvis are good shouts. Huth very combatative. Enrique, pretty good solid LB, a position we're desperate to add in. Jarvis always gets a cross in, can use both feet, reminds me a lot of Andy Sinton.
That Gestede lad looks a handful, I'd give that one a try.

McMananananam has gone to WBA for nearly 5 mill...actually I am happy with that.
He would not have fitted in.

But really wish something would happen getting twitchy

I wonder if Eoin Doyle at Chesterfield could score a few goals for us? He's certainly banging them in there in League One.

This window does not have a good feel to it at all. I rather fear they are preparing for the drop but nevertheless hoping that Harry produces another miracle. Hope I'm wrong but it feels like last chance saloon.

I still think we have a more than capable squad and, having got in a loan striker, say that we should stick.

My villain du jour is Steve Black - what is he actually adding? If the squad played to 75% of their potential or somewhere near their career norm, we would be flying. Would we be worse off without his motivational techniques?

What about Demarai Gray of Birmingham? The money we got for Mutch would get a real talent who scores and creates goals...

Oh, I forgot, he's under 30 so that rules him out...

How is it we can't pull one of these young players out of our hat?

Who said this tie was over?

Sheffield United are right back in this as young substitute Che Adams keeps his composure to turn Ryan Flynn's cross over the line. Bramall Lane is rocking again.

    Would you believe it.

Teenage substitute Che Adams has turned this tie upside down in the space of a minute. The 18-year-old finds the net from 15 yards with a deflected shot after Jamie Murphy's cross. Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino looks bewildered. Astonishing.

    Who is Che Adams?
Sheff Utd 2-2 Tottenham (Agg: 2-3)

Born Che Zach Everton Fred Adams, Sheffield United's main man tonight was watched by just the 45 scouts at one match when he turned out for non-League Ilkeston.

The 18-year-old interested the likes of Huddersfield Town, Peterborough United and Crewe Alexandra, but became a Blade in November of last year.

"Che is one of those players that comes along every so often and makes you think, 'wow'," said Kevin Wilson, who gave the midfielder his debut in the non-league.

"His biggest asset is that knack of changing games in the blink of an eye."

    Wise words it seems.

Yes, l think you are right, mate.
With having to sell so we can buy ..................... all augers for desperate stuff at the very last minute.

However, there is one saving grace, one piece of news that we don't have to listen to ........... Harry chasing Defoe.
Now, if only Crouch would sign another deal at Stoke, I'd be more than happy.

Because they are only playing like this because it was the cup - and a semi-final at that.

If they played like this all the time they would be way ahead at the top of Division 1 - which they are not.

Just like buying a foreign player on what he does in a few games in the World Cup. It generally doesn't work out.

Watching Spurs and to a degree Sheff U last night, they have so much 'energy' which we just lack in all depts. May be an age thing on our part but surely we can pick up better players than the likes of Mutch/Barton et al?
