Real Madrid are preparing to disrupt Cesc Fabregas' move to rivals Barcelona by placing their own bid for the Arsenal skipper Cesc Fabregas. The 24-year-old has emotional ties to his boyhood side, but Real are hoping to throw a spanner in the works by offering the Gunners a better financial package for their star. The Spain midfielder's move to Camp Nou has always appeared to be a case of 'when', not 'if'. But the two clubs still have very different valuations of Fabregas. Real, on the other hand, value the player at â¬50million (£45m), which is significantly closer to the figure the Gunners would like to receive than Barca have bid. The Real board and coach Jose Mourinho are big fans of Fabregas, but it is unlikely the player would agree to a move to the Santiago Bernabeu.
Why do the british press keep printing blatant rubbish? Ok so last week is history as far as they are concerned but that minor detail of the Spanish civil war means no non suicidal Catalan would ever sign for Real Madrid!
