Watching them against Arsenal and god help them, 0-3 down after 30 minutes , no desire from a team who are totally being out played .Whether we were extremely good (which we were) when we played them or Reading are that poor (which they are) their one of the three for the drop

Not watching the game, but my boy came downstairs from his pit, and says Reading are going straight back down. Just need to make sure we take all three points off them next week, and add another nail to their coffin.

Reading can always score goals its their defense that is dodgy....A banana skin is a possibility if we are not on top of our game when we play them...

All of Arsenals goals came from very poor defensive play by Reading. How we could only draw at home beggars belief

Well at least their making a fight of it. Arsenal need to be careful, as you say squeaky bum time for Wenger.

Agree Dai, it's a potential banana skin. To me this is a game we can't I'll afford to lose, we must take points of the lower placed sides. But to do this we must up our game from what was on display yesterday. Then again nothing would surprise me more is that we beat Utd on Sunday, that would be typical Swansea City.

    Reading=Blackburn away last season.

Remember how we reckoned that was 3 pts gaurenteed ? Reading will see us as a chance to turn it around, i thought they were the worst team id seen against us earlier this season but we only drew with them! everybody can beat everybody in this division and one thing i learnt from last year is to not count on getting any gifts from any team! Reading will fancy beating us at home and it will be difficult to get 3pts there.

However, if we want to maintain prem status these are the games to target, IF we perform at 100% we will win, the problem seems to be which Swansea team will we see on the day!! the Norwich team or the WBA team? it is all in our hands and correct focus and application should see us getting something up at Reading, 5% below our ability and a slow start will give the incentive to them and we have seen many times this season that when we arnt at the races we make heavy work of teams.

Im more comfortably when we play against the more established prem teams than when we play the likes of southampton, reading and Norwich. They target us for 3pts others just expect 3pts,thats when we catch em a bit cold.

Reading will be very difficult <ok>

Agree, watching them ;last night the first half they were dreadful but that was because Arsenal played as a tight unit , passing and movement off the ball which they are famous for. Reading looked really pedestrian against them. 2nd half and Arsenal thought the game was won , Reading responded and nearly gave them a fright . We need to show the same commitment ,not from 20 minutes into the game but from the off or they will punish us ,their two goals were as easy as the ones that Arsenal scored. We can win it but it won't be easy

We haven't performed properly since WBA; snatches of decent play but, overall, lacking in a number of areas. This is a game we can easily lose if so much as one player isn't on his game.

Reading already know they are in a fight for their Premiership life and they will throw the kitchen sink at us. The problem is, historically, we don't know how to handle that sort of approach. If we can settle and play our football, we can easily win the game but Reading aren't about to allow us to do that. They will chase, harry and fight for everything.

Ki and JdG are going to have to put in a shift and I mean REALLY put in a shift; not token stuff but battling for everything until they've got nothing left to give. And that applies to every Swans' player that takes the field. The "new boys" are about to find out about the nitty gritty side of the Premier League. If they don't face up, man up, we will be leaving there with nothing with the rest of the pack below us baying at our heels.

We need to take control from the off, get our passing game back and break Reading's hearts. If we give them the faintest glimmer, they will climb all over us. We are more than capable of beating them but I think we are going to find out the character of our team in this game.

Ivor , im intrested to see what Laudrup does in this game, im sure he will have learnt alot from the first match and seen aspects of their play that we can maybe exploit, i think his statement of saying that he thinks we will be better second half of season applies to himself as well as the players. Im hoping that he will perhaps feel the need for extra strength in certain games ,replacing Ki or JDG for Kemy could be an option that may work for him.

the thing is If as predicted we lose against Man Utd then we don't want to lose against reading that will make it 4 straight losses in a row and relegation form....Remember Blackpool!!

Norway, we do need to sort our cream puff midfield. We need urgency, energy, intensity (choose whatever adjective suits) and some bite in there. We are toothless and need a leader who is going to inspire the others to raise their game when things get tough.

We know our guys have talent but, equally, we all know that often it is not enough. Passion and attitude is also needed and I think that is something that is missing from our game. We need more grunt and maybe Kemy will supply that but he needs games to start producing.

In addition to a striker, I sincerely hope that Laudrup signs a combative midfield player in January because I think that is the missing link.

Well we never do take advantage of the teams that are at the bottom, for some reason we just don't seem to want to get into the ruck! But we did beat them well at Wembley, maybe we should start with Agustien, who I think is a better battler than De Guzman, in the midfield. I've noticed two other issues when looking at the table too, man are Newcastle dropping like a stone!! and Martinez and his boys have moved into their seasonal spot!............<laugh>

It is looking dodgy once again for wigan, surely this season will be the time to say goodbye to them ??

Pardew is having the season that we expected him to have last season!! i remember getting into major **** last year when i described Newcastle V Stoke as one of the worst games id seen, i was suprised Newcastle did so well last year but i guess like us with Michu they found Ba and then Cisse. I expect Newcastle will be fine but i thought last season was a fluke and ive been proved right this season i think.

Houdini Martinez?? Wouldn't put money against him pulling it off again! I've never rated Pardew, but still think the Toon will be okay, they do have some injuries, but don't we all...................<cheers>
