Would a draw be the best result for us in this game?

We have to be Sunderland to make it count though

Reading are away to United then away to Arsenal after this. The former they haven't beaten for about 80 years, the latter they've never beaten. Anything other than a win Vs Villa and reading will lack the confidence to break their ducks Vs the big guys.
A draw is definitely best because then only 2 points go to our relegation rivals, rather than 3!

I think a win for Reading would be best for us. Villa will be much more difficult to catch; Reading are as good as down with their difficult remaining games. A draw wouldn't be too bad though.

Villa play us after Reading. Wouldn't a nice neutral draw make them an easier nut to crack? Win and they're confident coming into the game Vs us, lose and they have extra motivation to make amends Vs the rangers.

Need a draw. Simple-keep as many teams as possible in the mix. We could be above them both in 10 days!!

As long as Villa don't win I'll be happy, they have the capability and fire-power to pull clear of the bottom, so as Totally says, a win for Reading or a draw would be best...

Looking at recent results, Reading, riding their late match luck peaked too soon, and perhaps like a thoroughbred racehorse, we are now peaking at the right time for the home stretch.

Our destiny is in our own hands, we must win a good number of our remaining games, which given our fixtures, we should be more than capable of achieving.

Sat 2 Mar Everton 3-1 Reading
Sat 23 Feb Reading 0-3 Wigan
Sat 9 Feb Stoke 2-1 Reading
Sat 9 Feb Reading 2-1 Sunderland
Wed 30 Jan Reading 2-2 Chelsea
Sat 19 Jan Newcastle 1-2 Reading
Sat 12 Jan Reading 3-2 West Brom
Tue 1 Jan Tottenham 3-1 Reading
Sat 29 Dec Reading 1-0 West Ham
Wed 26 Dec Reading 0-0 Swansea

I agree with Grifter. It has to be that a draw is better than either side winning this; better that only 2 points go to our relegation rivals than 3.
