These two sides represent our next two fixtures. So it should be an interesting game for us to watch and evaluate what side to put out, and the tactics we should possibly adopt when we play them. I'll go for 1-1.
Could be a close game, Reading gave Chelsea a hard time, I think they might nick this to put AVB under the cosh for next week's game...
Thought exactly the same. I reckon Spurs will win this. Too quick 'upfront' with a slow Reading defence and also 'The Royals' haven't played for 25 days and the will get murdered with Defoes pace.
The reading fans sound terrible on telly, it's all spurs. They must have the most boring chants in history too.. There's that monotonous slow paced "who are they". They even manage to make the "hoops" chant sound dull. It's like the fans of London irish got their dates mixed up and turned up today accidently.. Tricky to decide what result is best for us here!
Your right so far Ellers, Spurs are a class apart. The ball by Siggardsen to put Lennon through for Defoes's goal was quality. Defoe is looking sharp. Reading will be a bonus game for us as it will give our players another opportunity to 'gel' before we march into the next round. We shall then give the 'Ammers' a spanking the following Monday ....hopefully.
Yes, Spurs should be 2-0 up. Reading defence look awful with their keeper going walkabout. Defoe looks sharp. Note the Walker/Naughton combo are both playing - very offensive full backs.
I thank the good lord everyday that I don't follow a club like Reading. They have an abundance of soullessness . They're like the MK Dons of of somewhere far west of London.
Reading are making Spuds look great. Defence shaky and midfield almost non-existent and too often defence/midfield give the ball straight back to Spuds. Reminds me of some of our games last season.
Have to admit Defoe looks better than in years, might have something to do with regular playing time. Very good game so far by Spurs, look like they're gelling pretty well at the moment too, just like us. We're in for a tougher game at WHL next week than I anticipated beforehand.
We probably want Reading to lose considering we're more likely to be competing with them for positions come the end of the year, but certainly don't want a big win for spurs. A niggly 1-0 with loads of injuries for both sides?
We often go to towns and saty for a long weekend to look round etc. Coventry was great, so much to do...same said about Bristol, Pompey, Plymouth and quite a few others. After the biscuit factory, there is nothing to do AT ALL in Reading actually the worst town I have been to in the Uk , and yes I have been to Luton!
Only been there once and it seemed souless like Swindon, Bracknell or Basingstoke. At least Luton is rough, Reading is so anodyne it can't even manage that.
Said last season and this that Reading defence is slow. I was about to say they need to go 442 and bring on Le Fondre and they have just done so! I should be a pundit?
My brother-in-law (now living in Paris) worked for an IT company based in Reading, and lived in the vicinity for a couple of years, but in hindsight he really regrets not living in London and commuting to his job in Reading.
