I know and I'll try my best. Not sure how I'm going to sell it to my wife yet though :emoticon-0145-shake

Have checked with BryanAir and the prices aren't bad, only problem is it would have to be from Friday to Monday which could be a problem. There is no way I'll make the flight at 7 Sunday morning <yikes>!!!!

Weather should be between 25-30 degrees with clear blue skies................or..................it could be pis•ing rain all weekend with ice cold winds. Either way we'll be nice and dry inside a pub;)

I prefer the pissing down scenario, good excuse to stay in the pub, not that I've ever needed one!

Norway.

I could book you a Travelodge hotel at Dublin airport for 28 euro for the Sunday night and you fly back at 7am Monday morning?

Thanks for you generous offer lads. I'd love to be there but I have a bit of a predicament. As it is eight weeks exactly after the Brum game it means that I'm on the same shift pattern. ie I'm coming off my last night duty which finishes at 09:30. And that's providing that I'm not out on a 'shout.'
I also swapped shifts for the Ipswich game with a lad who wants me to go in on......... you've guessed it Nov 9th on a night shift commencing at 20:00 hours. In order to swap one shift will be hard enough, but to try and swap a second in which I have to payback is nigh on impossible.

It's not all done and dusted though, I'll make enquiries and take it from there. You never know. But I've already used up so many favours jigging stuff around just to get to all of the home games. I'm even calling in a favour to get to Wednesday's game on time. I'll be glad when I retire, only two and a half years to go unless Boris f**ks us over.... again.

Just checked the flights from Southend H/E. £72 return with Aer Lingus so not a bad price. The only problem I see is the flight doesn't arrive until 11.05am. We could have a car waiting for you but you would probably miss the first half of the match. Ryanair from Stansted or Luton is another option from that side of London.

We understand work and families come first.

If you could manage to make it over, great. If not, no probs.

For the lads and lasses who live outside London there are flights from Birmingham and Manchester into Waterford operated by Flybe, there is only one flight a day but it is an alternative and either Inky or Myself could do the pick ups.....

Ok Hoops Eternal. I will pick you up at the airport and bring you to your hotel. If anybody else is coming on the Friday, ditto.

If you want any advice on hotels or places to go, just let me know. Cheers.

Fantastic idea Nuts and brilliant of all the others to offer help with lifts etc.
Unfortunately myself and Will need to be here that weekend, but maybe another time.

Things are shaping up nicely fellas. I will be talking to Nuts anyway but count me in as a set of wheels that will pick-up where required and drop back of course.

Looking forward to it already <party>

disguise your accent - and don't use the words "Laaad" and "like" at the end of every sentence, and call anyone "a langer" - it will give the game away
bring a passport. - Cork people don't have passports "why would ye ever want to leave Cork lad and travel - it won't be as good as Cork like?"
start thumbing a lift. - Graig is only just in Kilkenny so catch the bus to Waterford and then on to New Ross and then work the thumb from there
anything else? - Avoid drinking with anyone with the same surname as Nuts - It will only end in tears!
