Sheff Utd need 2 in injury time to keep them alive... Shame 'Guv'nor' Ince wasn't around to take the accolade. Delighted for Tom also. Goes without saying....
I remember at the beginning of the season a tweet saying "Reading and put together a great squad if it was 2012", Of cause the 6-point penalty hasn't helped, but even without that they would have been touch and go to stay up.
Cardiff might have gone with no 6 point penalty....Hmmhh, in hindsight I think I would've preferred saying tat-tat to the taffies.
William Storey has agreed to buy Reading for £50m. Unfortunately for Reading, he's about as dodgy as they come.
£50m? Kinell, what are they chucking in with the sale, the team, the stadium AND the southern part of the town?!!
I'm not sure the purchase price matters in this case, as I suspect he has zero chance of passing any fit ownership test.
Why would he fail it? I don't know a huge amount about him bar he's not everyones cup of tea and was rumoured to be part of a group interested in Sunderland
He claims to be worth a fortune, but at Sunderland they reckon he has nothing like the £42m he bid. His energy drink company went bust owing £68m, much of the money borrowed to fund his sponsorship of a Formula 1 team, which barely lasted a year. A judge accused him of lying in court when he lost his trade mark infringement case for the logo he copied for his energy drinks. He was also found guilty of exaggerating the value of his business, claiming in court he'd made 900m cans of his drink, later saying he had made 900m cans, he just hadn't put drinks in them and sold them yet.
So to any normal eyes, a questionable guy. So no doubt he'll sail right through the fit and proper test
I see CM has been doing the podcast scene again and was asked about Storey's quest to buy the club https://www.readingchronicle.co.uk/...nderland-director-rumoured-reading-fc-bidder/
