We didn't expect a win today, a draw would have been a good result and may have been a possibility if Mbia hadn't got sent off......but, the big game is Reading next Sunday. If we win, it will probably buy Sparky till Xmas to get us out of the bottom 3. If we lose, then no more excuses about "still building", "it takes time" etc, he has to go. He has had a bash with a way better squad than Warnock had and we are in a much worse off position. I think even the forever-optimistic Fernandes has too see that.
If he's not gone before next week he needs to win both the Reading and Southampton games at least. Its getting to the point where we will soon be leaving ourselves too much to do to get out of trouble.
The problem is if we had held on against Spurs we would have gone 10th, now if we beat Reading on Sunday we still won't get out of the bottom three. Still think we will stay up but only just again, instead of being mid table as I thought at the beginning of the season.
I just can't believe Mbia's indiscipline. Our defense was looking solid and settled until 80th minute today, now another defensive change for another must win game! Grrrrrrrrr!!!!!!
Reading came back twice from behind today. They showed more spirit than we have most of the season. We lost today to a poor team that Norwich beat last week. Get real, it is likely to be another miserable weekend next week with SWP running around like a headless chicken, Faulin on the bench and Zamora looking bored. Come on Hughes, do something different, give us something to cheer about.
Rather that than this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Managing-Ch...=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1351359349&sr=1-1 Wrong MH but...!
This type of thread is on here wether we win lose or draw."he has to go".What does that give us ??? another manager that 50% of this forum would want to sack if we we didnt win the league. Get real, we will never win the league or get anywhere near that if a manager is not given time to do his job. There is no magic formula thats why the top four are always going to be the top four.
Um, no. If we had won or at least drawn, then Hughes would be getting a pat on the back at last. And I hold firm about the Reading game, and include 3 points against Southampton too. Trust me, I wanted to see Hughes succeed, but with poor tactical decisions i.e persisting with SWP and not managing to harness much restraint with player discipline I am starting to lose faith. We stayed up by the skin of our teeth and this seasons results do not lie. Maybe he shouldn't have bought so many players?! Swansea and Norwich did just fine last season. This may be a fault in itself.
