don't we already have 6 or 7 games in December all tough ones too. This is an absolute disgrace if true
Norwich v Sunderland Sunderland v Chelsea Man Utd v Sunderland Southampton v Sunderland Sunderland v Man City Sunderland v Tottenham All our games played in December
Apparently it's a UEFA guideline that Premier League fixtures cannot interfere with Champions League or UEFA Cup games - If we progress in the League Cup then we'll have 2 more games in December! http://www.journallive.co.uk/safc/safc-news/2012/09/28/61634-31923187/
http://www.eatsleepsport.com/sunderland/uefa-rule-frustration-for-oneill-1476053.html#.UGWt3rJlTW0 Martin O'Neill has slammed UEFA's regulations which won't allow Sunderland to rearrange their game against Reading on a European night. The Black Cats boss has been looking to fix a date with the Royals after their August encounter at the Stadium of Light was postponed because of a water-logged pitch. However, with Champions League and Europa League games dominating the fixture list between now and Christmas, finding a free midweek date is becoming an impossible task especially with Sunderland still involved in the Capital One Cup. December is the only month with a free date at the moment and that is already packed with fixtures over the festive period. Therefore, O'Neill lamented UEFA's ruling that top tier clubs cannot play league matches on the same nights as European games. O'Neill told the Daily Mail: "There have been discussions between the two clubs and the Premier League but we can't play games in a European week which means the only time would be in December where there is only 58 games in 31 days. "It is absolutely extraordinary and it would be really ludicrous to move it to December and the worst possible outcome, when we are already overloaded. It would not be fair on the players in particular, particularly when they are always talking about injuries due to the amount of games."
What about 9th oct or 16th oct or 13th November? they are not champions league weeks. So what is the Reading game date?. Most likely to be played 4th or 11th december.
