Good, great to see the EFL actually punishing clubs for a change.
I suspect that there could be more financial defaulters than we imagine and they need to be dealt with in the appropriate manner. There is no point in making up these set of rules if you are going to look the other way when it takes your fancy and allow some clubs to get what looks like special treatment. Surely any sanctions or point deductions should be dished out during the season in which they were committed rather than allow the legal big-wigs to defer any decisions to a later date. Having to go back and deduct points, or whatever, doesn't work for me because during that lost time some serious damage may be done to teams that should be treated better than what has happened. Wycombe should rightly be fuming mad. 
Wycombe were shafted last season by the EFL not giving Derby a points deduction that would have ended in relegation and further points deduction this season ending in a 2nd relegation this season and Wigan were shafted the season before by Wednesday not being deducted points.
About time the guilty were punished.
My bet is Swansea are looking over their shoulders as well.

Yeah but those 2 teams got promoted and now enjoy the full protection of the premier league along with the champions of FFP cheating Man City. Wednesday, Derby and Reading and almost certainly one or two others have gambled and failed and are going to pay a heavy price, I am glad that we have an accountant in charge of our finances, he may have made several questionable decisions concerning the playing side but at least he is not prepared to risk the long term future for a short term gain.
at the point a team goes into administration the X number of points doesn't really mean anything other than they have basically lost usually a mutilple of 3 pts 3 6 9 12 … or 4 wins. it should be, go into admin = go down a division ! no one actually gets those 12 points [ or however many ]… so the gamble is worth it …. eg ..... go over the £39m but finish in top half its WTSC and still in division! maybe no transfers but still in division because you deliberately broke the rules
ok Derby and Reading both on 10 pts 22nd team on 7pts Peterbro & 23rd Hull on 5 pts … likelihood of in normal cicrumstances [ including fact broken rules has enabled better team building? ] of lower pair being better than offenders by 13 points [ GD favouring offenders ] is not likely …..
BOTH CAN GET FINED AND BOTH WILL STAY UP …. CRIMINAL

Bournemouth came to an agreement with the EFL and paid a big fine - no points deduction
So lets get this straight:
Bournemouth deliberately broke the FFP rules by overspending and successfully managed to 'buy' their way into the Premiership
They got found out and needed to be made an example of when they got relegated....
... so then, they successfully BUY their way into staying in the Championship - probably using some of the parachute money that they shouldn't even have had in the first place..
... you couldn't make it up - where's the 'punishment' in that, if money is no object to a rich owner? It's like a rich criminal paying a large fine (from his ill-gotten gains) to avoid going to prison

I googled it. They paid a fine back in 2016 when they were in the prem. I suppose they could not wait till they were relegated incase they were there a lot longer.So lets get this straight:
