A warm hello to all Black Cats fans ⦠look, just to let you know weâve prepared a very detailed match presentation on the Sunderland v Reading game from our Reading forum, and the fullest respect shown to SUNDERLAND from our friendly site with full information produced equally for both sets of fans â but in all honesty far, far more on your team. It's here: http://royalsrendezvous.co.uk/topic/9685234/1 It would be really interesting for us to have any comments from you, like how you see the game going and general thoughts on your own team, and your (honest!) opinion of Reading. I promise that your user name and the âNot 606â site would always be duly credited for any small reference or quote taken from this thread ⦠All the best, daib0 / âRoyals Rendezvousâ
Good read mate enjoyed that. As far as the match goes on Saturday I'm quietly confident of a win. I think the game you played last night at Chelsea may have taken a bit out of you energy wise so I expect Sunderland to be the fresher of the two teams and we probably have more quality in our squad at the moment. I like Reading and some of their players, Le Fondre is a real poacher and Pogbrenyak (sp) will always be a handful. So it wont be easy on Saturday. Verdict: 2-1 Sunderland Good lick to reading after Saturday, hope you guys stay up.
Must admit out of the 3 clubs that have came up, im wanting Reading to stay up Reckon BM is a good manager
It will be a really tough match. Not sure how you guys will play when you come to the stadium? If you sit back and defend, we could struggle to break you down.If you come out and attack we could get a good game as I can see you scoring, I think this may end up a draw.
This will be one of the toughest games at home of the season imo. Newly promoted and full of themselves after 2 good games now, they will be very hard to beat. I do expect us to win still and we really must beat these sides at home to progress but it won't be easy.
Well you were unlucky against Chelsea last night, the guy McAnuff seems a handful on the left for you lot. I'm hoping for a narrow victory particularly if you play like you did Wednesday night. What affect the game you played last night will do for moral on Saturday is questionable.
Thanks for the replies, fair honest opinions ... Brendan - I think you might be right SPANISHSAFC - I got it from here: http://www.midfielddynamo.com/fans/fans_celebs.htm but other sites only list Steve Cram ... ----------------------------------------------------------------- Seeing as you're a friendly group it seems ... well, I know some people donât particularly like other fans producing a shopping list of questions to answer, and I perfectly understand that, so I leave any comments freely and totally with you. But if you like, these following points might be used as a very basic guide in case youâd like to write to something slightly longer, but donât feel at all pushed to go along this road if it doesnât suit you: A] What are currently the strongest areas of YOUR squad, and how do they click together? B] Who should Reading specially look out for / fear most of your squad? C] Any young stars coming through the academy that we should keep an eye on, now or in the future? D] How strong do you see the general level of the premier this season? E] Any general opinions of Reading FC - either for or against (you can be honest!) Any answers I'd happily reproduce on the Sunderland Chat thread we've out up on RR ...
A] What are currently the strongest areas of YOUR squad, and how do they click together? I would say at present it is our defending, but we are hopeful that our attacking weaknesses are being addressed. B] Who should Reading specially look out for / fear most of your squad? McClean, if he plays at his best. Sessegnon is our most skilful player C] Any young stars coming through the academy that we should keep an eye on, now or in the future? Colback has come through the ranks and is now establishing himself very well in midfield. There is also a few of the youngens who have been on the fringe of a first team call up, and this could be their year to do so. D] How strong do you see the general level of the premier this season? It's hard to tell as yet, but I do feel that it is going to be the most open for years. E] Any general opinions of Reading FC - either for or against (you can be honest!) Reading is a team that we have not played much over the years, but seem to me that they are most certainly a club on the rise..Your manager seems to certainly know what he is doing.
If I may suggest you increase the font size on your site. I have my desktop set at a pretty standard 1024 x 768 and have never had any problem reading any site. But the tiny font you are using was practically unreadable. (So I stopped trying!) As for Reading always liked them since Stevey Copple. Plus you had God managing you for awhile. Charley Hurley MON's favourite ever player. You were unlucky against Chelsea Torres clearly offside. But even so Chelski's class was starting to show and young Hazard looked a class act. I think it is going to be close but am going for 2-1 to SAFC.
MackemsRule, thanks for saying, but I see everyone's posts exactly the same size, always have, and not in particularly small lettering either. I went to edit the original topic, but didn't even find a font size options like I do on some sites. I'm not a particularly techno guy, so any advice??
The Royals Rendezvous – the 1871 Club was formed over the Christmas-New Year period of 2010-2011. Many of its initial members were regular contributors to the BBC 606 service – alas, no longer in operation – who wished for a more specialized Reading FC orientated forum, whilst maintaining the good spirited type of conversation and banter that the BBC tried to promote. MackemsRule, thanks for saying, but I see everyone's posts exactly the same size, always have, and not in particularly small lettering either. I went to edit the original topic, but didn't even find a font size options like I do on some sites. I'm not a particularly techno guy, so any advice?? Both of the above are straight copy and paste, one from your site one from here. As you can see quite a difference in size and my old eyes don't like squinting. Not sure how to do it on your own site, but surely it should be in your page layout settings? (Blackcatsteve would know.) Yes I could change the settings in my browser but then I would have to change them back again.
MR - on most browsers, if ou hold in CTRL and scroll up on the mouse it should zoom in, just CTRL + scroll down to zoom out again
I know mate, I just hate having to change things to suit sites preferences. daib0's site looks nice and clean and if it was more readable from the off it would improve first impressions. My biggest bugbear is the sites with loads of graphics and flash animations on the page and their servers aren't fast enough to pass the information to the viewers computer qucikly. I have 120 MB download speed, any site that even slightly lags loading, doesn't get me to stay or go back.
Take a look now, I think we've been able to improve it. Far from being 'narked' at complaints, we're very grateful you pointed this out, viewers' comments help us enormously !!
Very good I can now read it. Now you are going to think I'm just a moaning old get. But the text layout is too wide, my monitor is a 22 inch widescreen and by the time my eyes sweep back from the end of the line I was reading, I have lost my place for the next line. That's why the likes of newspaper sites always use columns. OF course it comes down to user preference and this is just my opinion bonny lad. Canny read by the way.
