its my 21st the day after the reading game so I'm planning on going to the game with a few mates, will there be a high chance the game will sell out before it goes on general sale or is it worth buying a membership just to make sure i get the tickets and will i be able to buy more than one ticket with a membership

    cheers

Getting a membership will help you to get tickets for quite a few games. It doesn't make sure you'll get a ticket though because Season Ticket holders with a certain amount of loyalty points always get first dibs. Sometimes even ST holders can't get tickets if they haven't got enough loyalty points. The Mackem game always goes before any tickets are put on general sale.

I think you'll be fine to get tickets, you might have to fork out a little but more to sit in the premium areas, but proper pints at half time is always good!

yeah i had membership last season and went to fulham and qpr away so I haven't had the best luck with results! I remember both of them going to general sale so i felt that there may not be a need to get the membership this time round. cheers for your help!

So you're the Jonah, I'll have a word with somebody in the Box Office to block your application for tickets.

i know i feel like i am a bad luck charm for the games i go to as the last time i went to a game which we actually won was against hayes and yeading in the 3rd round of the f.a cup and boumsong made his debut in that so it wasn't exactly a standout day for us and the last time before that where we got a result was way back in bobby robson era when we beat arsenal 3-1 at highbury when henry went mad at the end of the game so hopefully a bit of birthday luck will finally get a result

Thank God it's you not me, I went to Fulham and Liverpool, not the best of times, but I also went to Old Trafford and WBA, much better.
    Happy 21st anyway! :emoticon-0166-cake: :emoticon-0167-beer:

And was everybody shouting BOOM every time he touched the ball? The BOOM's soon changed to BOO's after a few games.

Erm if you mean the Reading away game then you will need a membership and you will need more than one or at least know other members/season ticket holders willing to use their status.

Away tickets never go to general sale anymore, even if they haven't sold out.

ah ok, i don't mind getting a membership as i plan to go to a few away games this season but having to spend an extra £20 for every mate that can go is a bit steep! i don't know any other members so wouldn't know how to get around it

I believe tickets go on sale to members on Monday (assuming don't all sell to season ticket holders).

Hoping to get a ticket for the game as i live in Oxford so only half hour on the train.

If i get a ticket then you'll have a great 21st, whenever i've been to watch Newcastle we've never lost!!!!

Perhaps you could ask if anyone would allow you to buy a ticket through them on here. You only need to know their ID no passwords or anything are needed. It's good for them too because they gain loyalty points for free.

if thats the case and anyone is willing to do that i will be more than grateful, I have a few mates that are willing to pay a bit extra for the day but even just one would help a lot as it will make a big change in the price of the day out!

Fingers crossed. Only managed 6 games last season, hoping to at least double that this season plus have plans to hopefully get to one of our away games in Europe.
