Not sure why it was locked? Thai - if it was a pen no doubt it was a red card. It's undisputed really because even most of the people on this board thought it was right. Dave - I was referring to the usual jovial tone that I thought was missing this time around from the lines about Bullard and Bowyer downwards - the usual humour was missing. On the point about the season ending in May - that's on the basis that Norwich will not be finishing above Spurs and Arsenal (trust me I'd love it if you did) - so I don't think it's contradictory to say that I reckon from what I've seen you will be going down and that Town will improve. I am and have been for many years in a Fantasy Premier League with about sixty very active participants and have never finished outside the top five, so I have a very strong knowledge of most of the teams and relating to form patterns and I offer a genuinely unbiased perspective based on all of that. I think Hoolahan is a player who could make a move to a top side and no doubt Holt can finish but i just think that the quality throughout the side isn't there compared with the Wigans and Fulhams, WBAs, Wolves who will struggle anyway.
Seems a bit touchy to me, `Lord High Moderator`, compared to some of the threads and some of the comments shared between our two fine teams, over the years. Seems to suggest the sourness may have been on your side? As always, no offence intended.
Surely the original thread was closed because of RBF's status as 'King WUM'. He's always posting his foul mouthed, beligerent opinions, trying to wind everyone up Hampy, I can understand why you'd form that view of us vs the other teams who will struggle, after all most of our players are at this level for the first time. However, what we've seen in the three games so far is a gradual 'bedding in' of the side, finding their feet in the top league. There's no doubt that Wigan away had elements of 'rabbit in headlights' at times, but each performance has been better than the last. We're not going to be worrying the top half, but I think we'll be OK.
Hampy has spoken a hell of a lot of crap over the years, but saying you're knowledgeable about a league you're not part of because you've never finished outside the top five positions in a fantasy league takes some beating! <shakeheadsmiley>
Carra I know far more about the Prem than the Championship - apart from Town's games I don't tend to take much notice. At team level obviously I know what's going on but not really that much about the individual players. In London I lived with a Chelsea fan, an Arsenal fan and a Man City fan so apart from the dozen or so Town games I go to a season and the Town games on Sky I catch goals on the Football League show and that's it, whereas the Prem i'll be seeing at least a couple of games a week, the European games plus all the MOTD highlights. Exile That's the first balanced analysis I've really heard. If you are improving then that's great but you really need to start picking up some wins or you will quickly find yourselves stranded - you desperately need to beat West Brom. RBF - I don't have moderation rights over that thread because it was posted on the Norwich board and added to the Town one.
I think Dave has enough on his plate at the moment! He's still trying to figure out why his drinks cabinet is empty! A bit like the Norwich trophy cabinet!
Hampy I did not lock it, Dave did not lock it. I am guessing you didn't as you asked the question. I have tried to unlock but cannot! Can you please try
Well, I didn't close it, and Thai' just asked me why it was closed, so HE didn't close it! That leaves Syd or Mick! Doesn't make sense!
Curiouser and curiouser. Could one of you merge this and that thread and then we can resume hostilities
Thats a mighty impressive CV Yorkie, with you knowing a Chelsea and an Arsenal fan plus watching all those 20 second snippets of goals on telly, you are more than qualified to manage our national side. Top 5 in your fantasy football league to boot, Alex Ferguson watch out.. TOOL
Couldn't of put it better myself. Maybe PJ takes as much notice of the Championship as Hampy does, it would explain a few thngs.
