Bit of a strange one- no details yet if its because citeh want him in and around the first team, or whether there is something else. Either way, I'm disappointed. Thought he looked good at blackpool and the first half against Barnsley.
I would think that City wanted him to play and he wasn't.I would expect him to go out on loan to another club now.
A massive miscalculation somewhere. Getting loan players in is a slap in the face for our own contracted players. Well, tough luck if the loan players do a better job. But this is the worst of both worlds. Maybe we ran out of money to pay him? Not surprised City took him back when they see players like Jackson, Pritchard, and Kerkar preferred in midfield. They sent him here to play. Who was really responsible for getting him in, and who was really responsible for leaving him out of the team after promising starts? I am sure there was a lot more to come from him once he settled in. When I looked at our recent performances and wondered how we could improve the team before our injured "stars" return, I could only think of bringing in Razak, so I am very disappointed.
Powell has said he wanted him for he 3 months but there was nothing they could do. This suggests citeh have recalled him for footballing reasons.
Probably similar to when we loaned Etheridge from Fulham, City must have expected him to play week in week out. Got to be honest, our centre-midfield was shocking on Saturday just as it has been all season (and it was arguably our weakest position last season aside from LM). He really should have been playing against Wolves.
I think Citeh probably looked at the fact that we brought in a central defender to play in midfield rather than play Razak and thought that we were taking the piss!
Quality player only saw him at the Barnsley game head n shoulders above the rest of our team but I don't like loan players TBH
Stephens will be fit very soon, and Hollands admitted that he had been playing badly, which was down to an injured toe, which is healing now. So we won't be needing Razak, assuming Hollands gets back to his best.
I really hope you're right, FHB. I really thought Razak was going to be a player we would keep till the end of the season. Reminded me of Alex Song a bit.
Saw both the Blackpool and Barnsley games and wasn't overly impressed with Razak, especially in the Barnsley game, our lack of a central midfield in that game was incredible, not solely his fault but he was part of it and could see why Powell took him off. Nowhere near Song's standard, could see he was going places, not so certain with Razak. No great loss IMO, sure there'll be another CM loaned in from somewhere soon who'll be better.
