Generally watch very little telly at all, not much on that interests me to be honest. Too many soaps, reality ****e, cooking programmes and banal drivel in general. Over the holiday period though I did watch this BBC4 documentary which was excellent, always been a huge fan of his work as an author and illustrator. Very likable, honest and talented guy who suffered quite a substantial amount of family heartache over the years. I think it may have been stopmeandslapme that mentioned on here about the film version that they produced on one of his books, "When The Wind Blows" and how tragic and moving the elderly couple are in it. Any other fans of Raymond Briggs and his work on here?
You would obviously and gladly recall that The Thin White Duke himself did the intro for The Snowman which I watched again this Christmas.
I do indeed, 1983 I think and he had a white jumper on. Christ, that's sad, see what I mean about my long term memory?
