Any else see the bust up between him and Rodgers? Happened about the 25-30 minute mark, think it was a Sidwell challenge on Suarez that led to Rodger pointing the finger at Wilkins for quite some time. I didn't see Wilkins again. Anyone else know?
Bit overshadowed by the news about Rene, but hey ho gives a chance for the conspiracy theories. What on earth did Wilkins mean when he said his disappearing act "was a Fulham thing" ? - roughly after 1 minute in this video clip: [video=youtube;9csUy5wDBVg]http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=9csUy5wDBVg[/video] On the incident itself, it seems Butch got upset when Riether put the ball out of play when we could have attacked, and despite Dowd waving play on. He got more animated when Suarez then jumped up. Some stories say remarks were made from the L'pool sub bench but whomever it was, Butch rounded on Rogers and the spat started. The Sun report Wilkins as saying that his relationship with Rogers is "sound as a pound" and they kissed and made up at the end of the match. The real mystery though is why did he immediately leave the touchline (it was only 10 minute or so into the game)? Had Rene had enough of his constant yackitty-yacking? Was this an example of tension among the "Management Team" which resulted in Rene going?
