I found this bit on P5 particularly amusing... SD may not fully have understood the totality of the problem but wants to understand the problem in order to develop the best solution.
Says it all! I just cannot understand why the club doesn't staff up and put the readily available systems in place to ensure the ticket office and the shop totally serve the needs of the fans. We have some of the highest demand in the land....why not provide a best in class service for what would appear to be relatively little outlay compared to the overall picture. To irritate and frustrate your customer base in this way is both foolish and counter-productive. How SD has not fully understood the problem by now shows a complete lack of understanding of his role.
I've just moved there with my mate and his grandson. Over the years the group I've went with has diminished to the point where I was sitting in the South West.with people I had grown to know that sit there, then they started not showing up, then it was different people every week sat next to me. So my mate that has just left the south stand because he has bought his 8 year old grandsons a season ticket, asked if I wanted to sit with them. IF they decide to shift the away fans (shouldn't have been moved in the first place) and I've got to move again, I can't really be bothered with the chew of where they'll move us. Alot of the issues was because if it was a poor away turn out,it looked crap on Telly. So naturally the SW would be somewhere to consider.
If the reason they are doing it is to make the Roker end bigger and the aways stay upstairs where are they going to put the families I wonder. Wouldn't fancy being in either of the North corners because they hoy stuff down.
Honestly don't know mate. I doubt they will move them back down at all tbh. Can't see the coppers wanting them back round the sheepfolds with all their coaches etc. The netting seems the most sensible and cost effective and we maintain a full lower bowl and nee safc fans need to be pissed off by moving seats. Roker stays where is is with all the murals, lattice work etc. Can't believe the netting hasn't been done already tbf.
I would like to think the nets will be up before the next home game or at least we will have it confirmed that's what they are doing and when it's being done
