Can't access this place at work now so not been on all week. Anyway apparently we were offered Raul on loan last week! I did hear from various people that Celtic had been offered a top class european striker who would walk in to the first team, a big name signing. Loads of talk about Ruud Van Nistelroy, Cisse etc but apparently it was Spanish striker Raul! Great player in his day but when I've seen him of late he hasn't been all that, kind of glad we didn't proceed with this one. Talk was he is allowed to go on loan so his agent has contacted a few clubs Raul would like to go so nobody really turned anyone down as there was never any real offer. Would you have took him? I'm thinking wages wise PL would have been a little apprehensive to say the least but I don't think he would really improve us that greatly if at all. Stokes & Hooper have such a great understanding together & need to continue playing to win us the title.
