Seen a few posts on Twitter asking fans to rate the season.

What's the overall thoughts from us on here regarding the season if you were to put a number on it?

Taking everything into account; off the field and on field.

    Nee half points allowed. <laugh>

I may have to review the options and take the 10 out and put 0 in. It only allowed me 10 options. <laugh>

    1. We survived. I said 14 at Christmas. But I was generous.

    The Implosion has been wild.

I went 2 since we werent relegated.

On the field only 6 points from the bottom 3 when we were aiming for playoffs. More players had poorer seasons than last year than those who had improved ones. The two transfer windows were really poor. The managerial appointments were horrendous. The Newcastle game situation.

End of the day it’s hard to say much positive when the club wrote off half a season, the numbers that stayed for the lap of appreciation was telling and deserved.

It’s been relatively smooth and largely positive under KLD but this season Will be a big lesson for him, hoping it ends up doing us well in the end.

    5. If our last two season had been the other way round, everyone would be happy. We're still in a hugely better place than we were 4 years ago and things will only get better.

    4 Must try harder
By this I mean everyone must try harder, players, coaching staff, recruitment, director of football and that's just on the football side of the club. The off field team don't get a free pass either.
If I'm generous I could say second season syndrome but it doesn't help when you shoot yourself in the foot, or in our case both feet.
All that being said some good may come out of this and I'm already looking forward to next season.

Don't see how it could be a 1 or 2 because if that was the case we'd be relegated.

Been a very disappointing second half to the season no doubt. Table could be worse though. I gave it a 5 btw.

Decimated by injuries and an imbalanced squad that was found out early on as Amads quality just wasn’t replicated by anyone.
Big chances squandered at key times cost us many games and points with confidence being drained.

The young lads will have learnt a lot from it and there is some quality within the squad so good foundations to build on, we just need to get the right material to do the building and strengthen in the appropriate places.

    Big Summer ahead

3 for me. 1 or 2 would be relegation.

Will be trying to forget it in a hurry.

strangely optimistic for next season in a weird way because the pressure feels off like it did last year

6 for me as we stayed up which i thought would be difficult with 2nd season blues.

Results on the pitch could have been better and transfers were ****e but i still think we're heading in the right direction.

    4. We weren't relegated and were never in serious danger. We saw some great goals from Clarke and some cracking results in September and October. If we had tailed off into mid-table it would have been a 6 but the disaster of Beale and with hindsight, the inaction of leaving Dodds in charge has turned the season very sour and 2 wins in our last 15 is embarrassing.

Standard 6 for turning up and playing. Massive reset needed, as someone's already posted, we need to find an extra 13 wins and 1 draw next season to achieve automatic promotion. Looking forward to it.

    Went 4.

If the clean slate happens i'd argue that the result of this season is better than finishing 9th and certain people remaining.

KLD has to learn from this. Got a lot of credit in the bank (for me anyway) but he and we as a club need to be more ruthless. All started when we essentially bottled replacing Mowbray last summer, not sacking him left him in limbo and lead to a pretty weird atmosphere for a few months. A ruthless club would've made the change they clearly wanted to even though it would've went against public and fan opinion. Or they could've not tried to replace him and actually gave him the tools to succeed. Trying to replace him and then not was the worst thing we could've done.

We have to be more clever in the transfer market. Frees and loans are good, use them.

Glad it's over, but looking forward to August already.

4 from me for many of the reasons explained by others in this thread.

Self inflicted implosion from irrational, crazy decisions made at board level.

Multiple injuries also had a big influence on how our season panned out, but ultimately, the HC debacle that has plauged us since December was the major factor in why we finished the season so poorly.

I'm hoping for a massive improvement next season, but that depends on how the summer recruitment goes and who takes the HC position.

I went 4. One for every player I saw actually improve this season, compared to last and one for giving game time to a future star. Hume, Neil, Clarke and Rigg.

    4. We are still in the championship and we have a good sense of what problems we have and what needs to be addressed.

Took a **** season to get to that though.

4 as we flirted with play offs at one point. The last load of games have dragged on and on. Dreadful end of season.
