Rate The Player - Kaspars Gorkss

  1. Premiership Class. One of our key players last season and next

  2. Potential. Excelled last season in the CCC, but could find the step up a challenge.

  3. Squad. Did enough in the CCC to secure a berth in the squad, but will only warm the bench.

  4. Did OK against Leeds and Donny;the prospect of Man City and Arsenal is too scary to contemplate.

  5. Didn't contribute enough last season - certainly shouldn't be on the bus this year.

    Agree with marking him a 2. Needs to stay focused, but if Ian Evatt can make it, Kaspars certainly can.

    2. I think he could do a job in the prem, possibly with Hill along side him at centre back.

    Solid, experienced defender and chips in with a few useful goals.

    Definitely one of our top 5, with an important role to play.

    Needs a quick central defence partner. Will certainly play a major part for us though next year.

    1. I'd be quite comfortable with Gorkssy in any game. Got all the attributes for a solid centre back.

    Hardly put a foot wrong last season and if we can get a replacement for One Size we could have a solid back line with Gorky in there. Not very vocal, possible language barrier, every defence needs a shouter and I think they rely on Paddy to do the verbals.

    I wondered if Gorky ever regretted leaving Blackpool especially when they got promoted in the same season he joined us but I guess he's had the last laugh.

    2 - A good season but had a few dodgy games, he can't afford those at this level.

    2 for me - think he can make the grade at PL, but as has already been stated, needs to remain focused for full 90mins
